there was a specific question from the requester that what will be the mileage if he rides between 45-55 km/h.
    The answere is 42 (atleast).
    CBR1000RR is OT.

Comparision very simple You like Duke over CBR so no problem Dude!! Conveince your dad for it. You know your dad very well, so you know the save path too.

As far as statistic is here...Duke is anytime blindly better than CBR150 on all aspects:-
      1. Power of 200cc at approx same price!!
      2. Speed
      3. Handling/looks/Stability.
      4. Servicing and spare part are same cost or would be less as it's by Bajaj.
      5. City and Highway Bike i.e Street Bike.
When you can buy more power, big engine,Stabilty, etc @ similar cost then why not a big engine..

Don't make a decision just your dad wants CBR! Else later you will regret if any Duke pass by on highways or City
IIRC,the Duke has short gearing ratios giving it lesser top speed,a 220/Karizma has better top whack!
It has a small fuel tank so long highway rides without proper planning for refueling is not so desirable(Pulsar/Karizma/Apache all have 15+ liters,13 for the 150R vs. 10liters for the KTM).
Upright seating and big ass windblasts on the highway=onset of fatigue is faster. The CBR has a fairing!
And the KTM comes only in Orange!(I think so!)
The CBR console looks better than the one on the KTM.

But the KTM is waaaay more VFM.

Honda Unicorn, TVS Apache or FZ ...

Choose as per your requirment... but dont go for Hunk or Extreme my own opinion

If you are more towards Style, Looks, Sports, Braking & Show off go for TVS Apache (Worth of)

If you want a Bike Who Can make you feel comfortable everywhere with Good Mileage & Good Maintenance go for Unicorn Without Doubt

as you said you are Fan of Fz (Yamaha Infact) which will give you both of the above a bit, If you like FZ go for it without thinking much what i believe is every bike has its Merits & Demerits choose what you like & go for that...

Choice is yours & Choose what your heart says

but still Duke has more kms on it's meter as compare to P220 or Karizma. it has better top speed.

So what my friend, can be filled anytme anywhere, a people if tour with it than would surely take care of it. every ones has some pros or cons. But still world is living with this 10L tank. and we have an option to go for bigger tank.

But cros wind will effect both the bikes mostly faired ones. Duke is not a Racing bike.... it's name as racing bike. it has better power and top end that doesn't mean we can race with it. it's a street bike, but windbalst will effect both the bikes but lesser to CBR.

          Absoluetly.

CBR would be a choice if it's for killer racing on street Duke would be for better riding postition.

Both are from different segments and are best !!

            Yamaha is here

First ride 40 kms this evening. What a bike! Minboggling.

I thought it will be tougher than my old fiero f2 to put centre stand and ride the bike because of Fz's heavy looks. But it is lot much easier than my old bike. Putting centre stand is like pulling a bicycle (easier than fiero f2).

And about ride waaw, as if in some heaven waaw.

Fully satisfied with the bike except the PDI, while driving back to home at night, I felt the high beams is shooting towards a tree or something. Stupid people, these guys just want to grab money and nothing else. All this PDI is for namesake.

Guys also go bitter experiences from many people that these service guys during free service change the parts of our new bike with old ones and then sell our bike parts for money to others to earn extra pocket. 1 friend of mine got his right mirror replaced, centre shock absorber replaced with fake ones and also the whole silencer, other guy's carburettor was replaced with less mileage ones. Dear guys please tell me if we can mark the important parts of our bike so that we may not be cheated

            Thanks

                Thank you very much

How long should I wait? When you say that they do it before us?

See this matters with you and the SVC relation. but mostly be first to stand in a queue for the Service and get it done in front of you. Approx 1hr is suffecient to service your bike. They do 1.5hrs for my R15. But i always seat there and get everything done in front of me. Even engine oil change is done in front of me only.

                    So cheers!!!
