he he I meant when we want to move the bike with hands ( one hand on the grabrail and other hand on the handle bar standing next to the bike and trying to move it ) sorry for the lack of clarity in the earlier post.

Like Prince said, avenger might be a good option or else ZMA.

      3. good handling and stopping power.
      4. should have style statement or atleast something above 150 CC class.
      5. comfort
      6. easy to handle/park on center stand.
      so i would suggest-
      • bullet (looses on 3rd and 6th point, still your father may like it) Agreed on the 3rd but not on 6th. it won't affect that much IMO
      • ZMA-R (good choice) uummm... sorry but No, considering age...
      • Avenger (even better, as it will be more comfy) 110 % agreed...

Some torque figures for your ease:
      Avenger: 17.5 @ 7000 rpm
      ZMR: 18.35 @ 6000 rpm
      Bullet 350/Electra TS: 28 @ 4000 rpm

REs have MASSIVE torque but will he be comfortable with kick start? RE Electra now comes with disc brake at front, I guess.

Bullet 350 is Kick ONLY, but Electra have self start too... and yeah, you are right about disc. It is a 280mm Disc in front...

That's alright but don't you think even with the disc up front, isn't the stopping power still inadequate compared to the 'Plastic' Bikes?

Yes, completely agree. And that's what I said in my previous reply to Prince's post...

bullet (looses on 3rd and 6th point, still your father may like it) Agreed on the 3rd...
But again, is that much HARD braking is really needed by his father !? will he be riding at those speeds !? ummm... I don't think so. And for normal use these brakes are more than enough...

you are right, very hard braking is not required for normal use and we can safely assume, he will not be riding at those speeds

                BUT

but sometimes panic situations may arise even at mederate speeds too.

How much does an Electra cost? I guess, it crosses the 100K mark. If his dad, will not be speeding much, then Electra might be a good choice since, even after all the issues (and it will have) it's a work horse. Load up anything & everything & it will work since it has a massive torque figure. If his dad is not comfortable with the weight & issues, then he must settle at P135, D125ST, GS150R etc. The crux of the matter is, his dad needs to take a TR of all the bikes to feel the ease.
My vote goes to P135, Disc 125ST (VFM & loaded with new age tech comparitively)
                  Else the Torque moster, Electra.

yes you are very much right...was busy in test rides and some other work....

                      APACHE RTR
Apache RTR180 abs was'nt available and even there is a booking period of 15-20 days....i was interested in apache just because of abs. so in test rode i didnt find anything for which i should go for it......

                      KARIZMA R
then i test rode karizma R ....i liked the bike very much its handling and pickup but somehow i didnt get that feeling.A feeling which will satisfy me to finalize it no offence but just a personal opinion....

                      HONDA UNICORN DAZZLER
so i went to honda for unicorn dazzler but it wasnt available for test ride....

                      AVENGER
i went to bajaj's showroom.Test ride of avenger was'nt available. Its seat was actually very much comfortable......was feeling like am seating on sofa(may be biased view but i felt so)..... anyways so for me it will be the bike which will serve service to my dad for next two years....today we went to bajaj to get it booked and for dad's final decision...i already told him that i have chosen avenger and i told all the things about avenger to dad as we moved into their lot area to have a look he sat on avenger and he felt comfortable he liked it but was looking bit confused so when i asked him he told that its nice to sit on standing bike but how it will feel when you actually riding it so i told him to have a test ride but unfortunately no test ride was available but we moveh ahead to counter to book it and errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr when we were walking towards of counter to book he saw pulsar 220 and he started asking me about pulsar 220 i told him its specification and all... he sat on bike and he said i want this ...i was like....Dad it's for racing purpose and people generally drive rash and fast in which he replied to me that is there any tag on this bike that whoever will buy he/she has to drive fast....but then i was like hmmmm...ok......so we finally booked PULSAR 220(black) for him....on road price is 91.4k ....will get delivery on sunday as there wasnt any bike ready for delivery.Only three were there in which two was getting delivered and one was booked....

thanks to all for your valuable time....i really appreciate XBHP and its helping members...thanks to all....LOVE YOU XBHP......please dont close this thread as i want to share my experience of delivery of pulsar 220 which is on sunday......

                        a nice buy..
After seeing cbz classic on the list i came to know he wont settle for anything less than a zma.. But you bought a bajaj counterpart of the same..

You dad inspired me... To ride longer.
