    Topic Approved.

If the conditions you mentioned are hard and fast rules, then you can get:

    In Yamaha: FZ16 or FAZER.
In Honda: Honda should give you CB Unicorn Dazzler for your needs. Dazzler should give better mileage than FZ usually.

If you're prepared to move from Yamaha or Honda, RTR 180 is a good choice, with good handling, great performance and acceptable mileage on sane riding.

an fz or fazer meets all your requirements.
But as you live in costal area dont try to ride them in sand.. The best i can explain the ride of this bike on sand is - HORRIBLE.. You will have to change the rear tyre for that.
But nothing beats them in style, safety and riding pleasure on city roads. (in less than 85 k criteria).

          thanks for approval.

a big thanks for the replies.

am considering yamaha FZ or fazer, tvs apache rtr or honda unicorn dazzler.

since my priority is power and handling, also i have owned pulsar 150 earlier,

is it advisable to go for yamaha series or honda unicorn.

any big disadvantage on tvs apache over the other models..also iam more inclined towards yamaha since i wanted to own it earlier before pulsar.

Yamaha FZ no second thought :-)

"any big disadvantage on tvs apache over the other models"

TVS Apache, a so call Vibration is its drawback but which too negligible [IMO], moreover i can say it got lots of advantage on over other bikes....

              Chooce Wisely :-)

If you consider Yamaha and Honda only, then Both are at same level on maintenance part.

Reliability is excellent on both companies!!

Why not Bajaj and Hero(You get Hunk and CBZ with Dual Disc) or TVS ??? RTR 180ABS is one of the excellent bikes!!

Think again before you opt, because 5 yr is not a small time!

RTR 180 ABS (in Pune) costs exactly the same as Pulsar 200NS (94k)

It is possible to get discounted deals on unsold stock of old Apache RTR 180 ABS for ~5k discount. *Apparently* apart from the looks, there are no more changes in both the bikes.

rtr 180 with abs will be out of my budget.

also heard tvs service is not that good also the parts. also i don't want to go beyond 150 cc.

I previously owned pulsar 150 which i thought was good in initial period (around 30k) but after that i thought the engine was not as smooth as earlier.

will it will be the same with Yamaha or Honda.

also what is the warranty period for Yamaha and Honda will be..

migrating to yamaha from bajaj is a good idea considering power and smooth engine reliability.

will consider apache 180 if it fits my budget.

If budget is a constraints than i don't think spending >75k <85k is worth ??

Becuase if you pay till 85k i,e buying Fazer/ unicorn/Dazzler than you miss some good bikes like P220, NS200 Awenger, RTR 180ABS just for more 10k.

It's better to keep the margin little big say a difference of 20k from these bikes any bike within 75k will be good for you.

So as per your YAMAHA and HONDA choice

Go with FZ, SZ-r or Stunner 125!!

You should strongly consider Hero and Bajaj INMO.

Becuase with in a range of 75k you get more options:

P150,P180, Hunk/CBZ these four bikes does all functions of Dazzler or Unicorn or FZ in less price then them. With a Good re-sale value and mileage too.

                              Esle FZ and FZ !!

Personally I am a Fan of Yamaha, i like only Yamaha Bikes, may be it's a 100cc or 150cc or in future 200cc+
