    Sure will be more carefull,though.
Try riding something heavier with a smaller/no fairing. (like.. say.. a 200NS!!) The situation wouldn't even have occurred. Extra weight helps sometimes.

And for the rest of it, you have a PM.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Using this math (which I will not PM anyone), we can comprehensively conclude that R15 engine is much more stressed than both Duke and 200NS engines. P220 Engine is one of the most stressed ones being sold on Indian bikes today.

You could rev a Duke/200NS engine to 12500 RPM and still the stress on the engine will be lower than a P220 engine at redline. The Duke engine will be stressed equivalent to a R15 engine at rev-limiter when revving at 12000RPM. Thats the beauty of a modern short-stroke engine compared to age old long-stroke engines.

Just for the record, the peak mechanical stress on the piston of a Duke/200NS engine is less than that on a Karizma R, ZMR, R15, P220, RE 350, RE500, CBR150R, CBR250R, Ninja 250R

P.S.: For those who didn't read the link, engine stress has nothing to do with swept volume OR peak power.
awesome information antz. i can vouch that p 200 NS is BEST BIKE under a lakh. three cheers for hamara bajaj...
OPINIONS ARE LIKE HEADACHES EVERYONE HAS ONE....

I knew he didn't have any proof to back his lame statement that's exactly why I asked for the MATH Don't understand why people put up such self cooked info on forums.
Thanks Anant Sir for the clarification.
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.
