Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Here both bikes are good on corners and all new technology!!

NS200: with 200cc engine gives more power and top speed, with an average of 40kmpl, some quote they are getting 45kmpl but real and most practicle would be 35kmpl. a carb engine! Family bike too.

R15 V2.0: ONLY SELF RIDE BIKE!!!
Looks awesome!! No one can cut this bike in terms of looks!! Power and top speed with new technology i.e FI engine. Sanely ridden gets an average of 40kmpl+ but badly ridden then gets 35kmpl. Corners and high speed are with confidence!!

      Now the question is

if you matter for looks then R15,
If a family consideration then 200NS

IF power ans top speed is considered then 200NS

If you can get a 200cc with better power and topspeed then why not 200NS@94k instead of R15 with 150cc for 1.3L!!!

Maintenance part Yamaha would be more higher then 200NS INMO.

If you are fan of new technology FI and Yamaha brad name then R15.

But let me clear one thing friend R15 is still a legend with 150cc in market where as there is CBR 150cc also!!.

Crusing long tour won't be a problem in both bikes, it's matter of getting addicted too stuff. i tour on my R15 for big Kms with no issues!! in day to day traffic 200NS is much better then R15...

      So now you decide !!!

Can any throw some light on the handling capabilities of P200NS. Is it as good as the R15 to point and shoot within traffic?

Also kindly provide the details about Acceleration, ideal cruising and top speed of P200NS with respect to R15.

        Thanks.

how's P200NS is a family bike?? I hope you've seen it,its very much unlike other Pulsars..
& ya anyone can cruise on any bike for touring but that's not both these bikes are made for..

@Topic - P200NS seems to be a better option..you'll also save some money with which you can buy some good gears..

Mostly every one says that 200NS is very similar to R15 in top speed or cornering. but INMO+personally i din't find 200NS as good as R15 corners!! It may be personall thought or felling.

Accelration and top speed is good for 200NS as compare to R15.

You can cruise easily at 110kmph-120kmph with more kmph to be added, people are getting a top speed of 140kmph+.

Daily traffic handling anytime 200NS is better.

200ns seating position is not ike sports i.e R15.

            200Ns is VFm for 94k

but still terming P200NS as a family bike won't be a right thing as when my friend sat behind me on a P200NS, it was quiet an aggressive position & I am not sure how many "family members" gonna like it..

200NS don't have an agressive seating positiong my friend! It has very similar position to P220! Sportz position on R15 makes pillion hard to ride and in 200NS case pillion is it comfortable than R15 at least!

Top of that 200NS rear seat is positioned rightly so family members can seat and enjoy the ride/commute.But in R15 pillion willsurely hate the ride becuase they aren't comfortable at all, making it against family bike!

Simple!! R15 V1 was much better in this terms but new one is more killer and broader tyres makes is superior to R15 V1.

For high performance and average looks go with ktm duke

For great looks and average performance go with R15 V2

For average looks and Average Performace go with Pulser

                    As simple as that

( Personally if I had been at your place I would have gone with R15 V2 due to its killer looks... if youare unmarried then this is the bike for you too :P :P )

PS : Average here is not actually average.. its everage in comparison to each other but actually much higher then any other bikes and you may not experience the much difference unless you are a hardcore biker who keeps a eye on all techmalities like torque, Highest Speed etc

R15 overheating problem !!!! Never heard and never eperienced self!! Yes if you ride any bike in 2-3gears in bumper to bumper traffic for more than 40mins as it happens here in Mumbai,in peaks office hrs then any bike is likely to get heated. But as other few bikes gets over heated in just fews kms like 20kms, is nothing like that in R15.

I have toured alot on my R15 never seen any overheating issues with mine or others! slight heating is there if you ride constantly for 230kms, but not over heating. For city rides go with P200NS anytime!!

i still INMO belive R15 is the best in handling and braking, but people are comapring Duke and Ns200 with R15 in braking and handling too. So in those parts Ns200 is good!

if you are a family person and think for decent bike with average maintenance, nice power and top speed, then go with Ns200!! any day on highways NS200 will over take R15 easily !!

It is actually the other way round. In city NS will outperform R15 very easily while on highway if there is heavy crosswind then both will be almost at par.

Woahhhh my two favorite bikes of todays ... Pulsar 200NS & R15... Don't go deeply in specs & all... R15 specs doenst tell complete story same in case of 200NS...

Test Drive both of the vehicle & decide, but BE AWARE it will again make your decision tough like hell as both bikes are awesome & you will hardly find out any con's in both bikes comparison with each other, Fun Loving plus thriller...

Don't Look for Money for sure it should not be deciding factor, If you care for you bike like you do for your gf & your loved one then there is no need to worry about maintenance & other stuff... Just Ride both of the bikes & decide what you like.. I believe top end speed of both bike will be around Same....

About Acceleration Owners/Expert please correct me if I am wrong, P200 NS is fastest to reach 0-60 & 0-100km/h & easy handler On & off Road.... But R15 Gives you that Sporty Feeling & Luxury Insight with Speed.

Just Make Sure to Test Drive both of the vehicle ...

Overheating Issue!!! I remember that Yamaha Free Up-gradation Kit coz of Overheating... but it was coz of Fool Motorcyclist who cover that Engine Space with Piece of Cloth & doenst allow an air to flow through ... But Wasn't an issue regarding Bike or Physics...
