That is not the real problem; the real problem what I see is, you haven't got a TD. Do that & then come back here with your riding experience.

Take your Father/Uncle/elderly Friend, tell the ASC very clearly that you'll not do their predetermined circuit for TD; ride on bad, straight & sandy roads (cautiously) & then come back here.

PS - If you don't mind, let me also tell you 2 other real problems...

You may consider the Pulsar 200NS to be perfect but you have listed it out, I suggest try taking a TD atleast.

Considering your height which is 6ft4inches

      1)Duke 200
      2)CBR150r
      3)R15

Again, since you have strategically mentioned that you want for street riding only, consider phasing out both the faired wonders. Trust me, you wont enjoy the ride even if you fit the height bar and everything, I would again request you to consider the 200NS, its not that bad either.

Being a ZMA user, the next upgrade for you should be CBR250 or N250( but is out of your budget) I guess. CBR150 & R15 both have sporty riding posture which may be painful in city traffic. Also their peak power comes at higher rpms which means you will have to keep revving the machine. Try and get CBR250. At 1.6 lacs ( for non- abs).If you are looking for naked, Duke is a good option but you will miss big bike feel of ZMA.

As aargee mentioned, no amount of discussion would equal to TD. So take a test ride of each bike and choose.

I would say i am very comfortable with Fz S (my friend's) If duke is similar then i guess Duke should be gud for me

          thanx for the correction

I am not much a fan of the faired bikes except for the R15 v2 . I am still exploring my options . CBR250R wont be under my budget. And this new bike will only be with me for 1 yr or so . I dont use the same bike for a very long time . So even the resale value is a thing so no Pulsars in my list

@thread starter - If you love R15 V2 and your heart is set on it, than possible take a Test ride of that and if you like her more than any other bikes go ahead and buy it, as heart wins over opinions.

I wont be surprised as majority of R15 owners know what i am saying about and the feel of the R15 is different

              120 kg.

Please go through the bikes' dimensions as shown:

Honda CBR 150R (Peak power @ 11.5K RPM, top speed = ~136 kmph)

Honda CBR 250R (Peak power @ 8.5K RPM, top speed = ~158 kmph)

              Yamaha R15 v2.0 (Peak power @ 8.5K RPM, top speed = ~136 kmph)

HMC ZMR (Peak power @ 7K RPM, top speed = 127 kmph)

HMC ZMA (Peak power @ 7K RPM, top speed = 125 kmph)

For some reason I couldn't locate Duke's dimensions...
(REs left aside, as the TS doesn't want an RE as his new ride)

Test ride and decide for yourself.

Friend don't you think that this kind of pasting is un-necessary ?? If TS can write and share on xbhp then he can very well go for the dimensions and specifications for the bikes on internet. This is like we are serving everything on plate, and they don't need to do hard work??

infact you could have pasted links instead of this pics!!!

And I guess CBR 250 is out of the TS's budget!!

You're right in your intentions bro, but I simply wanted to pin point the above facts. Though pasting links would have been a better option, damn it didn't strike me.

The TS has said that he can opt for the CBR (with conditions)

Good to know that ASC's are not allowing without permanent license; my sincere suggestion to you will be, think of buying a motorcycle only after having a hard copy of driving license in hand. Meanwhile, use this valuable time to learn about rules of driving/riding & the importance of riding gears & educate yourself.

Very strange that FZ can be tuned upto R15 !!! Freak!! All are behind R15 only !!

Tunning up FZ won't give anytime a good result, because it's naked+low weight compare to that speed which R15 runs. It means if FZ runs on anything > 110kmph it won't be stable, it's aerodynamics won't give that pleasure of speed.

And yes it's true that Duke won't be as comfortable as other big bikes would be! NS is nice on those terms, but you don't want pulsar badge ??

I don't understand why people think on names not on tech?? NS is more advance bike than previous Pulsars.

Most of us here would agree that in our own relations or in our neighborhood we seen teenagers riding gearless scooters or bikes right from 8th or 9th STD.
Don't know what to say on this, i myself started it well before when i was just 8-9yrs old.

We can't stop this trend anytime, because now kids are getting more towards fast life, they don't want to go by auto instead if their feet touches ground form a two wheeler then they start learning or borrowing it.

Best example is ulhasnagar near kalyan, mostly 11-15yrs teenagers are seen riding two Wheeler.
But still i would say ride only after proper licence and fair maturity to handle the road rides.

Still there many mature individuals on roads which suddenly start racing when they see me overtaking them or any other one else. Why to race?? If you wanna go fast then enjoy your ride instead of competing with other fellow rider. When few guys with their GF suddenly encourage me to race then specially i ride at 20-40kmph. They might be think what crap rider am I ? But i don't want him to racing with me. Racing and speed is something which person understands after practical yrs of experience of riding. I have seen many accidents and i don't want to be one of the reason anytime!!

@TS if you have owned a 2-3 bikes earlier that doesn't mean you should go ahead with same!! I guess you are riding parents bike!! rather than personal bike. Anyways you won't listen to anyone of us here! no offence!!
