  • Hero Ignitor or Pulsar 135

Hi guys this is my first post in this forum
im in dilemma to buy my first bike

i choose HERO IGINITOR and BAJAJ PULSAR 135, so which one should i buy?

    my budget is 65k
this will be my first bike so im new to riding bikes
mileage should be 50 in delhi city

Hero Ignitor Bike, Price, Colours and Specifications ? Hero MotoCorp Ltd

Pulsar 135 DTS-I, Bajaj pulsar 135 LS, Pulsar 135 CC, Pulsar 135 Mileage, Pulsar 135CC Price

i think ignitor is fulfilling my needs but its replica from stunner and it now from Hero, Honda is left
hero is reliable? can we trust them?

on the other hand we pulsar 135
dont have tubeless, but more power than ignitor
    and not comfortable too
so please guys help me to choose my first bike please

Hero has announced that it will be discontinuing Impulse, Maestro and Ignitor in 2014 when their tech support contract with Honda ends. If you can live with this fact, please go ahead with the Ignitor since apart from this con, it has more things going for it than the Stunner.

As for the Pulsar being uncomfortable, it is only a matter of you getting used to the riding position. It is definitely the more compliant performance package among the two.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

i would suggest against it ... The ignitor is an unproven bike still , and considering that it will be discontinued , you will have a very tough time. Also , with the p135 you get 4 valves and a superior mileage , it has more VFM. Still final decision is yours , i suggest you have a look at other bikes , maybe broaden your spectrum of choices .

        Good Luck !

          Stay away from ignitor!

Why not a Honda Shine 125cc ?? a good average with excellent engine!!
But P135 is best in average and power in 65k from bajaj.

          First decide what you want??
          1. Average?
          2. Low Maintenance
          3. Power ??

Then you can evaluate the bike you need. in arange of 65k, even Yamaha SZr is good. but for city with average i would recommend Shine or SZr.
But if you need power too then P135.

i want mileage of around 50kmpl in delhi city
i really liked the pulsar 135 but people say bajaj engines are bad and they only good for 1 year and resale value is not good too, so i have doubts

please do help me decide guys

I do not understand why the break up of hero with honda should effect the quality of the bikes.. They are just supplying hero with the technology and even though they have broken up, its a good two yrs for them to totally stop their contact.. Even then you could find spares and service. Might be difficult to find but you will find. As for the rumour of hero stopping its manufacture, till now, the showroom guys are not even aware of it... I personally do not believe it.. Ignitor is reliable and smooth as compared to 135. Looks are much better too. But if you want speed, then you can go for 135.. If you need a low maintainance, reliable, ruddy, good looking bike, then ignitor..

I would not say their engines are bad.. They are pretty good in terms of power. But yes, low resale value for the bike..

ignitor, impulse and maestro will be 100% discontinued so dont go for that ,if you are against bajaj go for honda stunner its an best looking bike below 150cc and it can give FE till 60kmpl if ridden sanely..

first ask the hero guys if they will discontinue the bike. Lot of rumours are being spread that's why. I guess they wont be stopped. And the only festive season is the dussehra or diwali.. If you are a student then i think they may give a discount. I had got a written letter from my college conforming i was a student. However i do not know if they gave a discount cause i din bother to ask!!
