@Shahbaz63 - One advice - Ignore the posts, do the needful give your bit of info!!!

@ TS - Select the one that suits your budget and pocket, both are amazing machines and have their characteristics. Test ride the vehicle and see where does your comfort lies, both of them deliver power around the same block so there is no major difference as such between them, but yes TVS has the APACHE from years and what you see today is much refined and best in class with the features it has to offer. Take your time, because in the end you would be living and riding with it, money spent for spares would be from your pocket.

About the Honda, things are already refined, it has been here since ages. But dont forget maintenance of a Honda would slightly be costlier than the APACHE. Ride quality is something that is your perception. I love the grunt of APACHE than the mild and calm pickup of the Dazzler.

    All the best

I guess you ride on highway daily right? , read in one of your post in RTR Thread. Is RTR same on highway and city while riding with comfort ?

I din't say Dazzler has better speed/performance than RTR. But surely has better mileage and comfort!

ABS is some where makes "Absence of Braking Skills" , Tough additional feature is better to have. If we brake properly and don't challenge the limit then ABS is not required.
ABS is no where 100% accident or fall free!!

So would like to know from T.C. if his dad cannot handle RTR ?

My Dad rides R15 , now what say ? But later he complains, what bike I have purchased!! TS is 28yrs bro, even if you take a 20-25yrs gap then his dad is 50-55yrs. I don't think 50-55yrs old would like RTR riding position.

He is fond of off roading etc so impulse will fit there most then RTR or any bike.
Check out Impulse very comfortable with parents as pillion or to ride. It has straight riding position makes it fit for aged people ride with comfort.Though it doesn't looks like. I TR with my mom and she din't complain at all. I wanted to go for impulse for ladhak ride. But hold it back.

This has to do with it's choice towards RTR. If he is ok with RTR 180 which has an average 45-50kmpl , So why not NS200 instead of RTR180 ? NS200 has power/Handling/Speed/ liquid cool/broader tyres. Average of 35-45kmpl . If he is paying 94k for RTR ABS then 1L for NS200.

I am not trying to confuse him bro. But I am making him aware of the other bikes capabilities. Even you or anyone would say If it's not ABS then NS200 makes more sense here.
I want him to decide instead of us. So he won't regret. Every bikes has it's own pros and cons. Some is good for pillion some with riding/comfort and some with performance. So ultimately he will decide.
Pointing out positives are something which will help him to decide. And I don't like any bike mentioned here. I would have said Duke for NS200, R15 for FZ and CBR ABS for RTRABS. so none is my favorite here bro.
If I want to impose my choice then I would have asked him to buy TB500 family bike with power to tour and enjoy the occasional ride, but that's not the case. I hope i cleared the doubt!

People should buy as per need.

Noted Sir, but just think once, you do all effort to help in selecting the bike to some one with all your heart & your genuine thoughts!! then some one (I literally mean Some other too) give's some contracting statement's in there post's, which looks more like a putting a random thought just for sake then actually wanting anybody to select anything, it affect's the quality of thread too...

May be in this things you along with some other senior's & mod's can help member in a Genuine way without putting there brand ahead, and also think in a way that WHAT BIKE section is critical as it might be the big investment for them, And I doubt people here speak about so many bike's so confidently like they've ridden each & every bike for 20,000 km or some time I doubt if its GooGLe world ? Seriously NO Offence to anybody! But It's posted in a Right of Riding Brotherhood

          @Eshaan "

@Thread Creator - If you really wanna enjoy warranty by manufacturer or a good servicing then I would advice you to please have a bit info about service center's in your area, if they are capable or worthy enough to service!!! here in Mumbai I find bunch of Crap & Cheap people operating service center without any knowledge so any one from MUMBAI I will never recommend TVS brand if they want a manufacturer's warranty & support, if you don't need that a private mechanic can also do then TVS is the one you would be looking for ! SURE !

And bye the way you booked your bike ?

Hah. Ok guys. Finally today i bought (my) Apache 180 with ABS...white color. I have been riding it since the 3pm when i bought and have completed about 200 km. Mannn.. its awesome. I forgot to come back to home until my mom called me i still feel like going out in cold to roam inside my sleeping city. Believe me i put my legs down for just once when i filled the tank and no bodyache or something... not at all. Is it really possible ? 3pm to 8pm means 5 hours...!!! without a single stop if you forget the stop at petrol station once. I cant say if its my spirit for new bike or the bike's comfortable ride that kept me energetic. But really no tiredness.
Though i did not ride higher than 50 kmph (as per instruction) so cant tell anything about vibration but while coming back to house at 8pm i sped up upto 60 and felt little vib, again it might be my own hands trembling because very cold here. so can update you guys about vib later. But tiredness.. no way.
ABS- i rode both in ABS on/off mode. Not much difference in highway but in traffic i felt smooth stopping even after sudden breaking while if ABS off, slight jerking what you can feel definitely. Man.. here in Bilaspur city, seems man drive or ride to die, Moreover municipality work.. my god. Though are doing for repairing our own city sewage system but the roads are jammed everywhere and even countryside roads would be better than our city roads at present i guess.
But believe me i am not exaggerating but it was like apache driving me. I am total noob about bike riding but i had no problem at all in these 5 hours in open road, congested roads, in traffic, riding in some stupid people.. just wow
Chandra TVS, Bilaspur- where i bought my bike from, Very nice people. Treated very well, specially the ladies. All are good helping nature. They bought the bike for me within 2 days (in fact 1day) as today was supposed to be good day according to my mom. so i had to get the delivery today. superstitious but you know we ought to sometime
Thank you everyone here who replied my messages and queries. Yes Somen my dad is of 54 yrs and he is still handsome more than me. Yes he don't like sportive bikes much, but he liked the apache, though he thinks even apache's tank is very large.. but he did not ride it yet. Thanks all once again for your every message and suggestion.

ps- Before getting this bike when i was reading reviews of apache from different people in different forums/threads, and many has mentioned that when they stopped in red signals people asked them about bike and today when i was coming home and stopped in red signal all were staring at me/my bike and yes one guy asked me.. "new bike? mast hai..!" Aaahhhh. Waiting for next morning

Congratulations! Welcome to the tribe.. Please do go through prateek's PDI. A search for it on the rtr thread will show you the instructions. Get good riding gear along with your bike.

ABS will show itself when you're one inch from loosing control. Believe me. But don't put all your trust in abs. Develope good braking so that you'll not need to rely on abs all the time.

                Ride safe!!

unfortunately I drive i10 Asta from past 2 yrs. And Yes I don't know what ABS is and how it works!! And rode countless time RTR ABS and CBR250ABS!! Still I don't know how ABS works and how it feels, Thanks for making me aware!! Just because I don't own one so I can't comment!! Thanks!!
Regarding suggesting anyone...I am very shock Shab63 that you think a person can suggest only if he has ridden over 20K kms!! Shocking!! Thanks again !! a person can't comment if don't own it!!

As far as I remember when you had started the thread for what bike, You were firm on RTR 180 just because you felt it comfortable in handling than NS200, where all were suggesting you NS200, even you knew NS200 was more better than RTR.
On Offence mate. don't take it personal.

Still I would say ABS is just an additional feature not a permanent accident free feature. Better braking skills and alert mind can tackle all situations.

Please make your Dad ride and write the true report of your dad's feels and comfort with RTR.

I would wait eagerly to read that, whether it was comfortable for him or not? This will help other buyers too with same confusion/criteria.

@OTHERS: Who are writing OT please keep it oneself about how you feel..etc rather than penning in threads..Lets keep it clean. Lets pen only on bike!!
