Karizma R is the same as ZMA-R. We use the term ZMA to differentiate from ZMR.

So ZMA out. That leaves you with P220 as the only option.

I am 18 years old..and just finished my board exams...
My height is 6 ft, 1 inch and my weight is 85kgs...
I am planning to buy a bike for myself..my budget is Rs. 1 lakhs(on road price)..
I have not ridden much bikes as of now..so i need all your suggestions.
I need to have in my bike:--
      1. Fair looks
      2. decent mileage(atleast 35)
      3. riding comfort
      4. good handling

I will ride mostly in city(a few kms everyday) and on rare occasions outside of it..
My mom will also ride with me RARELY..so it should be suitable for that also..I am not much of a speed freak.
I have shortlisted the following bikes:--

      1.pulsar 150
      2. pulsar 180
      3.pulsar 200ns
      4.pulsar 220
      5.apache rtr 160
      6.apache rtr 180
      7.yamaha fz
      etc...

I do not have any preferance for any bike in particular...so you guys should suggest me the suitable one..
You MAY suggest any OTHER bike..

      LESSER the cost,BETTER for me!!

      awaiting your reply!!
Just read your latest post, you are not weighing pillion comfort at all.
So NS200 /RTR180 ABS is the best bikes in 1L.

As your height is 6+ ft so NS200 suits you well.

And for once in a while in whole month, surely your mom can climb NS200 if you think she can climb P220 and ZMA.

I will not ride much above 80 or 90 KMPH...so p200ns will be a waste...So pls suggest a bike which will be balanced between Acceleration, handling, breaking and comfort within a budget like 85k please !!!(like apache rtr 180,p180,p150,fz etccc )

From the above four you have stated, Apache-180, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 150, & Fz16,
The most practical one among these is Pulsar-150. But as per your requirements which you have stated, the Apache 180 suits you well & serves your requirements better.
Apache has a better acceleration, handling , comfort & braking.

From your posts, it seems like you already have a bike on your mind. But I'll just give my opinions.

            budget within 85k - Rules out Karizma,P200NS,P220

That leaves yo uwith the P180,P150,RTR180 & Fz16.
Of these, P150 gives you the highest mileage, RTR has highest acceleration, Fz16 has highest comfort(for rider), P180 is more like a jack of all. Choose the bike based on what you prefer over the others.

^ +1. Seems like you have pretty much made your choice, as you seem to be pretty quick in discarding most of the suggested bikes. So, rather than drawing this thread too far, why not tell us your choice and we'd tell you how good/bad that bike performs?

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Hey all, i only discarded the bikes above 85k coz i dont think it would be nice to have a bike costing more than 85k and with highhh Acceleration as my First bike !!!!! Thats all!!
So pls suggest a good bike within 85k..( we dont have suzuki showroom here)... it would be better if you guys can give me a Priority list ...and pls vote in the above poll!

                    Hunk/Xtreme/Dazzler/GS (=not to your liking)
                    P220/NS/ZMA/180RTR (=above 85k)

                    So you are left with:

                    Yamaha FZ (FZ16, FZS)
                    Apache 160
                    Pulsar 150

Again, looking for best VFM, the Yammies should fit your bill.

RTR180 = 88K on-road price, goes above your budget as indicated above.
                          Pulsar180 = 85K on-road, just fits your budget

what is the cost of non-abs? is it good enough?
Finally, what would you recommend in the sub 90k region??

88K is the price for the Non-ABS. ABS will set you back by ~94K OTR. Do check the prices locally, as they can very from city to city.

So you can take a final choice between P180 (~85k) and the FZ series (~80k), or if you can stretch your budget - the Apache 180.

that means my priority will be-
                                rtr 180>p180>fz....
and if i change my mind about my budget then-
                                p200ns>p220...
                                right?
pls tell me about rtr180's vibration problem...i heard about it a lot!!
                                and how is fazer?
