Though I haven't ridden the 180RTR personally, going by people's opinions, it's not very happy at speeds above 100.

It's best if you can borrow any friends' RTR and check the comfort levels.
I rode the rtr 180..it was nice at 60-70kmph..
p180 was smoother than rtr180 but rtr had more acceleration..
i am in a fix now!!! which 1 to buy??
please tell me about the maintenance of both and their resale value comparison....

So now it's all about your personal preference - do you want better acceleration (and slower top speed) or a better top speed for cruising, with just a minor drop in acceleration. Maintenance is more or less the same for both the bikes, and resale value is lower for the Pulsar.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

resale value is lower for the Pulsar?? that means after two years if i sell my bike,i will get more money in case of rtr?
what is rtr 180's and p180's mileage ?

Dude, don't worry too much about resale value now. RTR 180 should give 40-45 kmpl in city under mixed riding. P180 should give 3-5 kmpl more than RTR180. However, RTR180 has better performance than P180. I'd say get the RTR180 ABS if you're okay with RTR as it's always better to have ABS if you can afford it.

i may sell the bike 2 years later..so resale value matters...will the rtr 180 give atleast 37-38kmpl if i ride at 35-40kmph in city?if i get the non-abs is it oaky?

I wouldn't rack my brains THAT much if I'd buy a bike just for 2 years. I would rather go for any bike which looks good and has better resale value. Reliability, performance, refinement are terms that long-term buyers would actually bother about.

Don't get me wrong, if I were in your position, I'd rather go for a used P220 (or R15 or any other bike that I fancy) in a near-perfect condition, and enjoy it thoroughly before selling it off. Taking the pains to own, run-in and service and maintain a new bike for just 2 years and selling it off at a significant loss is just not worth it in my opinion.

Everyone here have explained this 'n' times!
& Y would you want to go for a bike above 100cc, if you want to drive at 35-40kmph!?
Dont take lot of tensions, just go for the RTR, Pulsar is too common these days..
my city is very crowded in the streets..so if i drive above 40kmph there,i may not be in a position to dive any bike in the near future..i hope you got it
and by the way, mileage depends upon riding style,so i was just checking.

i told that i MAY sell it off after 2 years ..it is not mandatory!!and i am not comfortable with buying a second hand bike..

Obviously the new one..do they still sell the old one? What is the price difference of both?

I preferred the old model, it had a stunning look. The new one looks strange, or something like a wanna-be !
"Madness", as you know, is a lot like gravity, all it takes is a little push !

Yup, the old one is back in production! IIRC the new one costs 4-5k more than old one, accounting to DRLs, carbon fiber panels & other cosmetics.

The main difference between the two is the looks.. since looks are purely personal, it is entirely upto you. Also they say the new one vibrates slightly lesser than old.

really the vibes are less in the new 1? do they give the same mileage?
