Hai frnd,Originally posted by roks2408 View PostHi All,
Just did Test Ride of CB Trigger today and couldn't wait post.
The test ride was very short one, could not extract too much experience from that.
Some pointers are :
1. Engine is same as Unicorn, no change on that.
2. Big Positive : Same refinement and relaxed riding as Unicorn. A big plus for me.
3. Handle bars are bit wider for me. They want you to feel you have a relaxed ride in your hand.
4. Engine feels lazy below 3000 RPM. After which it attains the right juice and acceleration.
5. Gear shift seems a bit hard; the test ride bike was a showroom display bike so I don't expect it would have been ridden much.
6. Seats are a let down for me, they are not that wide as I expected.
7. Seating posture is great !!! Feels you are sitting on a sofa.
8. Engine breaking is missing which is there in my pulsar 150.
9. Instrument Panel is quite attractive, they are clearly readable in open sky. Since they are so exposed, I doubt readability in rains and extreme sunny conditions. I think design team should rethink the angle at which it sits.
10. Couldn't tell about braking since it was a standard version. Also, suspension was not evaluated.
I hope above points are of some help looking for Trigger review.
I am still in a state of dilemma on what to choose. Should come to some decision after I ride TB350 again.
Happy and Safe riding,
Rohit
I am in the same situation -TB350, or Trigger.I have booked TB on feb-2013 without test riding, now I have cancelled the booking after test riding, reading reviews, and personally found some problems with some bikes
It's only my view
1. There is a vibration above 60km/hr in all the vehicle I drive
2.There is rusting in chromium plated parts even in some painted parts
3.Some bike have oil leakage
4.No alloy wheel so no tubeless tires
5.Sales and service is not good
I have TD Trigger last week same feeling as you said,
+
I have some doubts too
1. Most of the time I using both breaks for stopping of vehicle Is it necessary Combi system?
2.Comparing Unicorn Trigger had less wheel base and small tires -Is it good or bad for cornering, breaking and in city drive
Expecting valuable suggestions from experts ..
Thank's in advance

TB's have been famous for their flare but are equally infamous for many many issues ...............Originally posted by sbtrajesh View PostI am in the same situation -TB350, or Trigger.I have booked TB on feb-2013 without test riding, now I have cancelled the booking after test riding, reading reviews, and personally found some problems with some bikes

Re: Replacement for Pulsar 150 ---- Honda Trigger or TB350 ?
Hey Fellow Riders,
Just went to test ride Thunderbird 350 and man this was a beast !!! Power delivery is meaty, brakes are awesome and seating is excellent; its road presence is unbeatable. I am already a fan of its headlights which i big plus for night driving. Didnt find any vibrations in the test bike like the Classic.
One thing which is bothering me is the handle position, i doubt if it still is competent enough to take me comfortably from Pune to Goa in a day (this is what I am targetting for start). May be because I ride pulsar and dont have habit of driving high-rise handles. If you guys have the same expericence, please tell me since this can be a deal breaker for me.
Otherwise, I am convinced my next bike would be RE Thunderbird 350. I wont be booking it right away but has cleared my mind with whatever doubts I had. I want to go with TB500 due to its better performance and less waiting, but not practicle enough for me. Along with that, i checked out all accessories on the display and will pick up each of it before I hit the highways on my bullet.
I would like to thank each one of you who replied to the thread and helped me go againt and for the decision, i really appreciate everybody for providing your sincere suggestions.
I know there would be ups-and-down with the machine and I am fully prepared for it.
@valkyrineX7 : You said it right, RE is a mental bike. I didnt liked Classic but loved the way TB rode. I am sorry, I am stuck up with Thunderbird and even though I can see the consequences, I am ready to bear them (except for mid-way breakdowns
). All I want to do is break my boundaries beyond little touring which I do on Pulsar150 and I think is surely not possible for me in a 150CC bike.
A BIG THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN !!!!
Happy and Safe riding,
Rohit

Its comfortable on the straight roads... on the curves......very slow.... u-turns......slower...
Hope you get a better experience than me....
Additional Advice for long trips: carry extra clutch wires.....tyre inflator n punture repair stuff.... and learn basic repair works...
Also prepare your mind for regular service centre visits!!!
But you gotta pay something to earn something... like paying peace of mind for thump!
I will still not advice, but it's your own decision bro!
