What i come to know about indian made speedometers that they delivers more than 10% speed errors.. It is even high in case of pulsars, however less in apaches and yamaha made bikes..Once me & my two friends were on NH37 assam, i was in my RTR160, they were on r15 & pulsar 180 we all were on same speed going head to head, what my speedometer showing was similar to that of r15's it shows 54 but suprisingly it was 58 on the pulsar180. May be there was some problem in his meter but the bike was newest in our league had done only 3000+ k....:what:

On RTR 180 and 160, vibes start at 40kmph and it never ends. Vibes are the integral part of the bike, making it feel more sort geared than it actually is, you shift earlier trying to escape the vibes.

Speedo error is there in almost all bikes.
        Across the world.

10 km error is observable on 220s post 120 I think.

Zmr's Speedo is said to be almost accurate. Not sure about rtr

he is right because old pulsars has build quality issues but that's what you suppose to get with zma , p.s. 220 design chasis is old I don't know about new improvements and its too early to say about next generation pulsar aka 200ns

Congrats for getting the ZMA. Yes P220 beats it from start till the top end, because it has slightly more torque and 4 hp extra!
Any bike would become crap without maintenance. This forum has seen P220s run for 70k+ kms without any serious issues, because owners maintained their rides very well. A badly maintained Karizma can give you tough times.

Now that you've got one, start riding and stop cribbing.

Congo on your purchase, now chill broda, karizma is anyday better, . . They may be right at some points with respect to 220, but frankly speaking as Divya said no bike is going to last without much maintenance, also the thing with Hero is that even without not regular maintenance, they won't disappoint (speaking from my experience), left my unicorn without servicing for over 5 months to see how it will perform, just oil change and frequent chain lubing and boy there was no problem with the bike , that's the capacity of the engines. . . Good choice again, do share us with the pics of your new ride and have a great time riding. . .

                Cheers!!!

You have a made a good choice by choosing the Karizma.. like divya has already mentioned.. any bike which isn't maintained properly and on time will cause you trouble..

let me tell you some advantages of the karizma over pulsar 220.. the spare parts are costly compared to P220, however they last longer and do justice to the cost of the spares.. the P220 needs more maintenance due to this issue whereas the Karizma will run run and run.. so if you change something on the Pulsar at 10,000 kms, the same spare on the Karizma will last a little longer say 15,000/- but again.. a bike that is not maintained can cause you a lot of trouble..

yes, the P220 can beat the Karizma.. but hey.. are you going to race a P220 or race everyday? obviously not, right? don't listen to people. if they ask for a race. say bikers don't race. we treat our bikes like a queen

Karizma has proven itself over the past decade so i don't think you have to worry about it. If you still feel you took the wrong decision.. Heck, sell the damn bike and get yourself a P220 which can feed your carvings for speed and win a free ride to Heaven don't take it serious. I am just saying.. Speed Thrills, but Kills..

I owned a Karizma in the past and now a ZMR.. and Trust me.. I am really satisfied with the bike and i have raced many p220s where I have beaten a few and few have beaten me hands down.. and at the end, its the rider who plays vital role in all this.

                  Chill yourself and be happy..

                  Happy New Year in advance

                  Cheers,

Sir your statement support is wrong, yes pulsars require more maintenance, but engine doesn't go SCRAP in 2 years, it does when.owned forgets to change engine oil or uses it as a ready to race all time without care.
Reagrding your doubts about NS, it IS going to be 2 years since it launched in next month, I've seen some ns which has clocked 40+k kms and runs like butter. So don't believe in what you hear, believe in what you experience.

What are you gonna do with top speed? Karizma has a better stability and reliability factor with a great low end torque and a stress-free engine. Now that's what you need practically. There's no use on top end or acceleration in top gear. You're not racing daily rite.

Bro please see what you type, there are some mistakes in many of your comments, guess you are very fast in typing, do check the spellings too, we had a discussion and there's another thread stating the importance of proper English, please watch what you type, not to point out a mistake of your' but that's against Xbhp rules. . .

Now coming to the topic, yes indeed NS is far far better than previous generation pulsars, I do agree with that, after riding for many times, I can feel the difference. . . Coming to old generation pulsars, they are not as good as this is, everyone knows, it requires a little more than normal maintenance, . . I have seen my friend's complaining about their pulsars in less than a year or two, also there are many here who have been riding here in Xbhp without any issues. . . At the end of the day it's maintenance that matters. . . As I gave an example above, my Unicorn went for 5 months or so without proper service except oil change, but you can't expect the same from all other bikes. . . Speaking about Karizma only, I still remember the days when I used to ride harshly on my friend's karizma, it simply wasn't giving us any kind of problems, except minor but engine is the best part of Honda, that's what they are famous for, butter smooth engine and that's the reason I have seen many of my friends going for Karizma over 220/200Ns, . . May be the person commented above is partially right/partially wrong. . .

                        Cheers!!!

Apache 180RTR is the most flick-able as well as most agile out of three and its power to weight ratio and throttle is superb which you won't find in any other bike i would say go with apache i currently own pulsar 150 but even i fell apache a better ride
