NOTE: I fell thrice on my ZMA, and all the time, the joints inside broke. I was able to stick them with feviquick and m-seal and its doing very much fine.
I have read in many places that ZMA plastic/joints are very fragile.
Also, I haven't seen any old Hunk with out a cowl.

But I agree, 3k is too much for those. May be that crome plated HUNK badge is worth 1k out of the 3k

What you have read is true. The joints of ZMA plastics are fragile compared to the size of the cowl. They break over a period of time. One consolation is, you can do some DIY and stick the joints back. Of course, if the panel cracks, you can't help but replace it.

Regarding Hunk's chrome badge being costly, the similar tank cowl on Dazzler was around 700 rupees. The Chrome Honda badge on it, which is of similar quality and size of Hunk badge, was just around 250 rupees. Hero has got the pricing seriously wrong.

And regarding my friend's Hunk, the tank cowl got cracked; he is just using it like that.

NOTE: I am not against Hunk or biased to ZMA. Just stating the facts.

Hey - that Hunk's chrome badge pricing part was for fun mate.

Looks like we are hijacking the thread. Let the discussion continue!

The main reason that i always found the GS's 6th gear useless is because it does the same speeds in the same rpm as most 150 cc do in the 5th itself. I'd consider the 6th as a gear only if the bike did the same speed in a lower rpm. For example, the fz or a cbz does 60 kmph at 4.5 rpm, and the gs does that in the same rpm too but in the 6th gear. so what really is the use of having that extra cog? In a r15, it does 60 kmph at 4000 rpm in 6th, and i call that an extra gear because it does 60 in 4.5k in the 5th.

Well i am no expert about the 6th gear stuff, but it does put less pressure on the engine on rides (please correct me here guys if i am wrong) and off course it feels good to shift to 6th .
I drive daily from Mayur Vihar till Gurgoan (90 kms up & down) and i haven't had any problem with having the 6th gear and zipping through traffic.

GS is quite underrated bike in comparison to the Honda, service quality is worse in Honda as well. The only positive is that you can get the spares much conveniently. Regarding tires Get the Michelin Sirac (they can be made as tubeless easily).

From all the reviews by various people I have found that tires shouldn't be a problem and I can replace it later if required. But from Delhi to Gurgaon I assume you have to travel on a highway. So GS suits best for you, but my ride would be 90% in Blore's horrible traffic. Unless I go on weekend rides the 6th gear may not be needed. So the only question remaining in my mind is handling the GS in slow moving traffic at 20-40 kmph to my office. Which bike would be best in this case? Please put in order of comfort: FZ/Trigger/Hunk/CBZ/GS150

GS150 is a good package except the fact it lacks some killer looks.
Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).

Nothing can beat yamaha fz, SZ-R, and rtr bothers in traffic. Rest of the bikes in this class are not that flickable and nimble if compared to these three as these are light, agile and torqy with slightly stiff suspensions for better handling.

Dazzler/Trigger comes close to FZ's handling in city. I am afraid how you categorize SZ-R in same class as FZ; SZ-R has a different frame and suspension than FZ, and a different handlebar.

Ride it to believe it buddy. It is a highly under rated bike like gs150r Reasons for my above post are following:

1> Its engine produces 12.8nm of torque at 4500rpm which reduces gear shifting in traffic.

2> It can easily pick up pace from as low as 30kmph(even with pillion) in 5th gear without any knocking or lagging.

3> It is the lightest bike in 150cc category. (133kg)

4> Its handle bar is not like karizma, gs150, unicorn or trigger. I mean handlebar height is low which makes it more agile in traffic cutting, offers better seating posture and control over bike.

5> Its roll-on figures in 5th gear are best in 150cc class. According to me roll-on figures matters more than outright acceleration as we dont ride our bike as a drag racer in daily commuting and in hilly areas. I have personally experienced its excellent low and mid range performance which is much better in comparisons to bikes like hunk, dazzler, gs150r, fz16 etc. I defeated my friend's fz and hunk in roll on figure 2-3 times and sometimes they cheated me by down shifting.

source for my last point Yamaha SZ-R : Roadtest Page - 2| ZigWheels.com

6> Better weight distribution than its rivals(not all) and that is why it feels feather light even in heavy city traffic. Its not a front heavy design like gs150 and pulsar150.

6> Last but not the least, its yamaha and yamaha is known for giving better handling characteristic to its bikes.

NOTE: I didnt categorized it buddy. I suggested him because prathappa mentioned in his post that he is looking for a comfortable bike which he will be using mainly (90%) in city.

Can't agree more. Few talk about this bike. Apt commuter. Maybe being on the lower side on mileage front is not helping the cause?

Yes thats true. Cant trust SZ-R. Low figures in all aspects. If at least its pickup and top speed were better even at 42-46 kmpl one would consider or atleast mileage could have been 55+. But it fails to achieve both. Thats why I had narrowed down my search to Trigger and GS150. Even Hunk and CBZ are good competitors, But I dont like CBZ much, Hunk also is a good bike but why Hunk when I can have trigger?

FZ and SZ, both struggles to deliver the mileage of even a 200cc bike, with their low-end torque.
The recent facelift to SZ also doesn't help it to score well on the sales charts.
Go for Trigger/GS , you won't regret. Hunk is also a good option.
The Honda/Suzuki engines are better refined than FZ/SZ's.
