How much does a person runs to SVC ?

Honda or Yamaha has enough SVC around India where you can get your bike serviced efficiently....

    @ TS

    TRIGGER has some more dislikes:
    1. Tyres are not that GRIPPY.
    2. It's not all self inspired for 80+kmph
    3. It's too light to ride at high speed.
    4. Front suspension is too soft for any high speed > 90kmph.

Even I would say to go with GS150r just becuase TRIGGER is too light !!

      On your points:
      1. GS150 tyres are not that grippy either.
      2. But it serves well at low speed and in cities.
      3. FZ is lighter than Trigger.
      4. Isn't the front suspension nearly same as those used in other bikes of 150 segment?

As for GS150, people say it has weak brakes and is also not good at sharp corners, does not have that good pickup still I am sure it has better pickup than the 125cc bike(correct me if I am wrong). But I weigh 80 kgs and have 5'10" height. I would prefer a heavy bike and that's the reason I think more about GS over Trigger.
As for Suzuki service centers, one is 3 kms from my house and the other is 1 km from my office.

Also I need to get a test ride, I was avoiding it because I have to go home tonight on vacations, once I get back from home in new year, then my hunt begins. Thou people have made it all clear that TD would make things much clear. But all you are experts and I am sure my analysis would also be same as yours. Thanks @all again.

It was just my personal opinion and experience, so just relax. I was just making him aware about points which I feel are negative in Trigger.

I just want to correct you on few points:

1> Fz is still the best looking 150cc bike in India. You can call it 5-6 year old but still its better looking than the competition.

2> Trigger is not that light. All modern day bikes are light. The real culprits behind this thing are its tires which are not grippy and that is why it feels less stable and feather light at high speeds.

3> Number of SVCs matters a lot. (I dont want to argue)

4> It looks small, Please try to understand I am talking about size not the way it looks.

If you are concerned about handling and braking then you should not go with gs150r. It is not a bad handler but trigger is better. If you want best of both worlds consider Hunk which is better in handling and braking department than gs150r but it is not better than trigger in handling. Hunk feels stable at high speeds but it is not as smooth as gs150r, gs150r is the smoothest and the most refined 150cc bike. As per your requirements and my knowledge my vote goes for Hunk.

          @prathappa..
Stop thinking so much mate. It will only make the decision hard.
You want a bike that does well in city and at slow speed, good tyres, good suspension, go for YAMAHA FZ-S.
I do ride this bike. At close to 5'10" and 75+kg, I never feel any type of discomfort. Its stylish, has many color options.
The other's in this segment are not bad either, but FZ takes the prize among them. The newer bike have wider seats for more comfort for both the rider and pillion.
          Go for it.

          Ride safe and have fun.

Ya, I have driven Hunk and liked it. Will consider it too. So i guess I will do a TD on GS and Trigger and compare it with Hunk. Will choose the one which suits me among these 3.

Ya FZ-S definitely looks good. But the mileage issue and I have to travel like 35 kms everyday. With petrol price being 82 rs it will be a pain. Costlier than the Volvo rates here That's why looking for something giving 50 odds kmpl in city.

Regarding the GS' braking, the new bikes have BYBRE brakes in front,so should be better.

Ya, do the TD and see for yourself which bike suits you. Actually you should have taken the TD's before putting up this thread.

test ride is a good idea.
TRIGGER does good 100kmph. But post that it's really like hell to me..
I am R15 rider, so somewhere to me TRIGGER is not adjustable.
But in <100kmph it is good. good low end torque with average.

This is very real that more you think more you get diverted!

Your priority is for big bike with average, So GS150r is suitable.
GS150r gives good average and it's tall bike and can do 100+kmph planted.

along with Kill switch(yep it's really required, which is missing from TRIGGER)

TRIGGER lights are as well AC, Check for GS150r lights.

Go for GS150r it's much better than Hunk. If you have one or two SVC with in your reach than you should go with Suzuki.

You can Tour as well on GS150r..

I need to check if after some 100s kms TRIGGER gets gripy or not?

From me as well I would opt for GS150r in the two.

Have you checked P150 ? it's not refined but it has everything.
My friends get 55-60kmpl, It has DC set up, Now they are reliable. with good number of SVC's and that too affordable rates for spares.

Re: Great confusion: Trigger or GS150R

I ruled out Trigger as many said its low weight is a problem on hi-speeds, I don't like the plain looks either even thou its a Honda Engine. I hardly see any Trigger on roads either, Dazzler was way better.

Here is my final list according to preference. Need to decide in these before February Salary.

                    1. GS150R - coz its my personal favorite.
                    2. Pulsar 200NS - 1.1L price and mileage is my only concern here.
                    3. CBZ Xtreme(2014)- I like the looks and its a proven bike anyways.

Re: Great confusion: Trigger or GS150R

One negative which many have missed is it headlights. The head light is poor, it is an AC. Except that the bike is superb.
I had this confusion when I was about to buy a bike(Apr 2013). Trigger is about to launch, i had GS150R, vs other 150cc bikes. But I went ahead and bought GS150R because I didn't hear any negative reviews about this bike. Only negative point was Suzuki's marketing.

                      Positives:
Very well refined engine. no vibrations were felt even at high speeds.
Best Mileage around 54, avg of around 50- would consider this as a decent mileage for a 149CC and 149KG bike
Comfortable seating position(for pillion rider too)
You wont feel the weight while riding, except when you are trying to push the bike out from parking. Very well balanced bike.
                      No Cheap quality plastics.

If you want to zip past the streets then you need a FZ-S or an apache
I cannot comment on trigger because I haven't ridden one and found only one in Chennai till now. Bike was launched in May 2013 I guess.

You will get number plates, saree guard, crash guard etc for free in Suzuki whereas you need to pay in Honda.
