Vibes are there in 3500 to 4000 rpm but its ok.
180 abs good choice but service from tvs is horrible.
overall i voted for karizma R.
And if aftersale service you can manage then test ride 180 abs. Best bet in city traffic nimble agile powerful and safe too.Last edited by avhad sitaram; 10-02-2014, 02:49 PM.

What about rider and pillion comfort, and how is the engine, obviously we can't compare Tvs with Yamaha and Honda.Originally posted by avhad sitaram View PostI am six feet and never feel bike as short mine is rtr 16o fi.

kusmaker buddy i agree with you we cant compare honda yamaha and tvs , tvs lacks in branding , quality and in aftersale service too.Originally posted by kusmaker View PostWhat about rider and pillion comfort, and how is the engine, obviously we can't compare Tvs with Yamaha and Honda.
Regarding apache 180's riding comfort its not as comfortable as unicorn coz stance is sporty ie aggresive but very good for city conditions imo ideal.
Secondly gear ratios selected are perfect compare to all models in its class. Pillion seat is not as comfortable as unicorn but not as dull as duke or ns .
Its oversquare engine is rev friendly and rider never feels lack of power in entire powerband although with heavy pillion it affects a lot but only in cross winds
The main problem everyone tells about rtr is the vibes . rtr vibrates a lot in 60s and 80s ie in 3500 to 4000 rpm but afterthat a sweet top end punch of apache can be a pleasure.
We can easily cruise at the speed of 100.
Afterall its the only bike to offer abs in sub 1 lac category. And handling is also a pleasure and major advantage in rtr coz its short wheelbase make her agile and nimble.
I think this is the pros and cons of apache .
Regards

Fair answer bro, absolutely this is the only bike in sub 100grand which offers ABS, handling of Tvs vehicles are mostly fine as they themselves race bikes and that learning of designing best handling bikes on track gets into there road bikes also.

Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!
Reviews about rtr may differ from person to person and their views towards their requirements. I personaly dont like a real buttersmooth engine but wish that a modern bike should have monoshock ,abs and descent fe with no compromise on power and handling.Originally posted by kusmaker View PostFair answer bro, absolutely this is the only bike in sub 100grand which offers ABS, handling of Tvs vehicles are mostly fine as they themselves race bikes and that learning of designing best handling bikes on track gets into there road bikes also.

Definitely different people have different choices, i always like a motorcycle which is butter smooth with only minimal noise, on monoshock i will like to say one thing though it's technically advance and sits at the centre of the motorcycle, gives tremendous agility to a bike but for Indian roads i believe twin shocks are best, on ABS note i think it should be made mandatory for all 2wheeleres manufacturers to provide ABS in every vehicle, decent fe is a must, as it is good for user and good for environment also.

Imo center shox are the best for indian roads also many rider favours monoshock for the crosscountry ride btw even with our family members as a pillion i think center shocks are better suit to our requirement.
After overaging twin shock parameter may differ to each other and cornering may ne pain and risky on that.
Afterall this matter is all related to personal taste.

Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!
avhad sitaram, that's a valid point which i missed yes twin shocks behave differently or independently as time passes by and they wear out, but companies do promote single shock as a very big feature in there motorcycles, i think this scenario should change and company should not price there motorcycles costlier only for this piece.

kusmaker absolutely true companies treated monoshock as a major upgrade over conventional one i am agree with you and hopes this scenario will be change soon.Originally posted by kusmaker View Postavhad sitaram, that's a valid point which i missed yes twin shocks behave differently or independently as time passes by and they wear out, but companies do promote single shock as a very big feature in there motorcycles, i think this scenario should change and company should not price there motorcycles costlier only for this piece.

Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!
Can anyone who has real experience of both tell me how effective ABS or CBS (in case of CB Trigger) as against the normal double disc?? Is it realy worth the extra 10k. The CB trigger that I test rode was the CBS model but was used for over 7000kms by the sales guy. The brakes werent something great as per my experience. The guybtold that he has not got the disc pad changed and so the difference was not being felt. Anyone who can throw some light on this. Its like almost 10% extra cost. It has got to be worth that extra.
