Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!

    Hello All,

There is new scenario now. I happened to receive an incentive from the company. It came as a surprise. Now I am thinking that if I get a really big change, I can put in 20-25k more. So my new budget is 1.25 lacs. As per my knowledge, the following bikes can now be added to the list:

    1. Karizma ZMR - I am a fan of its look
    2. Yamaha R15 V2
    3. RE base-model (if I am not wrong)
    4. Any other????

Please advice me now. Also let me know if there are any more options in this range? Please help as I want to book the bike before Diwali. Also, the longer I have to hold the money with me, the lower it gets..

P.S. Please give whatever pros and cons you can for the bike as compared to NS. The only downside for NS as per my thinking is in the visual department.

R15 V2 is 1.3 lakh on road, so you might have to stretch your budget a little bit more.

My friend gets 40 kmpl in city. Expect it to give 35 in worst case.
I think the mono suspension and naked body is better for city rides. 220F is better for highways.
+Its new technology used in NS.

Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!

          Hello Everyone!!

I have booked the Pulsar 200 NS. I had to make a difficult choice first between the 220 F and the 200 NS. I was pretty sure until the time I reached the showroom that it is gonna be NS. But the look of the red-black 220 F is awesome. I took another half hour and did a lot of thought process and zeroed in on the NS. I hope I have made the right choice. The second difficult choice was between the white-black and the red-black colors. The white-black didn't appeal to me much on the paper, but in the showroom, it caught my eyes. Again a thought process for 5 minutes and I booked the black-red one.

Will be getting the delivery on Dhanteras, intentionally planned that way!!

Now I have started to look around for a few good accessories. Please help me as to what accessories should I go for wrt NS.

I surely want to buy a good full-face helmet, but under 2 grands. My total budget for accessories is 4-5 grands. The showroom guys will be providing the basic Saree Guard, Number plate, mirrors thats it!!

          Please advice!!

Last but not the least, a heartfelt thanks to everyone in this thread who helped me reach my decision in a big way!! Will be posting the pictures as soon as I get the bike home. Please also guide me through the basic care to be taken during the run-in/break-in period!!

          Cheers!!!

Congrats on booking the fastest to 100 bike under 1l.

Accessories ? What are you looking for ?
            For 5k budget I would suggest to get a 3k LS2 helmet plus 2k worth gloves .

Do consider changing stock eurogrips for better tyres once your bike arrives (resale of new tyre will be good).Stock tyre can't be trusted especially in wet conditions.

              Thanks a lot!!

I will be using the bike for daily commute to office. So a good helmet is a must. I was wondering if I could get a good one for 2 grands!! Also, gloves is a must. Will surely get two pairs. Apart from that, I will have to get seat covers, bike over, because I will park in the open inside my society. I was looking to upgrade the headlight!! Any advice??

Regarding the change of tyres, I read someone mentioned Pirelli for 9 grands and merely 2 grands for the exchange of the new stock tyres. So that will be a huge amount. If you can suggest replacement tyres such that I wont have to pay over 4 grands post exchange, please let me know!!

                You made a good decision.
Simply ride under speed 50kmph for the first 2000km simply not to cross 4000rpm in each gear. Here rpm is important more than speed

The special edition - matte finish throughout in yellow/green/maroon costs extra 6 grands. Is it worth considering? The yellow and green colors are really good!! But at the same time I can use those 6 grands for the tyre upgrade!! Please suggest!!

                    Thanks..
                    No not worth .
Especially if you already love the current color .
There is a radial tyre from Michelin or get pirelli .
If you want something cheaper and good for bad road use then do try CEAT .
