The CB trigger that I test rode was the CBS model but was used for over 7000kms by the sales guy. The brakes werent something great as per my experience. The guybtold that he has not got the disc pad changed and so the difference was not being felt. Anyone who can throw some light on this. Its like almost 10% extra cost. It has got to be worth that extra.

You can't compare ABS and CBS, these are totally different technique of brake assist, as name of both these techniques describes themselves, ABS or anti lock brakings system was initially developed for fighter aircrafts which were opertating on aircraft carriers to help them brake effectively, CBS on the other hand is just a combined system of front and rear brake into one, when you press either front brake or rear brake in Trigger both wheel will recieve braking force together but it will not stop wheel from locking, and tht's where ABS comes into, this device actually prevents wheels from locking and hence improves braking tremendously.

Re: Best buy in sub 1 lakh category!!

CBS is Honda's combined braking system. When rear brakes are applied, it applies slight pressure on the front disc too. IMO, a proper rider should use both the front and rear brakes based on the current situation and requirements. Hence its just a show piece and not worth that 10k extra. ABS, on the other hand, uses sensors to ensure that the wheel continues to rotate, without locking up during braking, allowing the rider to steer and control the vehicle. The effect of ABS its similar to alternating the brake pressure to ensure wheel rotation. The ABS is worth the cost if its option is provided.

Just something I felt needed to be posted here, ABS, CBS and C-ABS are different things. ABS and CBS has been described earlier in this thread, This is what C-ABS is Honda Worldwide | Motorcycle Picture Book | Electronically Controlled Combined ABS

              Sure thing...:-)

The C-ABS looks promising. I dont think it will feature in any of the bikes in 200-300 cc any time soon.

My friend is using 100/90 with relay. Even after continuous riding of 5 hours with headlight, the reflector did stand the heat. May be its too early to say that the reflector is foolproof. New reflector costs Rs.1200+(just in case).

IMO, the 200ns has one of the best stock headlights in Indian market for motorcycles. Using a higher wattage bulb with relay may cause reliability issues and could void warranty..

What kind of FE can be expected of FZ-s V2, Fazer, P200 NS & Apache RTR 180 ABS in rel world? Say for daily commute of 60 km on highway and good rural rods.

If the stock bulb is of 35 watts ...then change it tp 60/55 ...it is much better compared to the 35 watt bulb provided with current bikes.

Will the wiring be able to provide the extra wattage and what about the generator for high watt bulb.

Actually what i have came to learn is that for using 55/60w bulb you should have 100/90 wiring (don't know how much it's true), secondly the generator will produce current according to 35w bulb and it has to charge battery also , so by using higher watt bulb battery will drain faster than the rate of charging.
