    Re: Buying my second bike, help me?

    I think Cbr 250 with c-abs would be your best bet. It's a solid tourer, reliable engine and is not too heavy on the pocket. The D390 is vfm but it could be a pain in city rides and has vibes.

      I have owned a cbr 250 abs over a year . It is a good bikes but the after sales service have always been an issue for me . Baby blade does require a fair amount of maintaince and the resale value is not something you would like nor would it be comforting to know that the production has been called off

          You can go for it if the above mentioned hurdles won't bother you. The asc problem can be solved by finding someone who is good. Not all mechs are bad and not all asc's are bad.

                Bikes don't simply stop working and roll over dead if the manufacturer stops production!

                A new bike will only be new for only a few weeks or months max after which it will cease to be a novelty.

                Make two lists 1)write down your needs/requirements and
                2)write down the major plus points of all the bikes under consideration.

                Match the items from both lists and the maximum matches wins.
                Do it before your Dad changes his mind about buying you a bike. [emoji6]

                    Your point is true for electronic products. But like another member pointed out there will be a major parts sharing between the new CBR and the current one. So parts availability should not be an issue.

                          You might have to wait for a few months for Hx250. And its never a good idea to have a newly launched bike. One should wait for a few months again to get a feedback on how the bike behaves.

                            Anarchy911, you're suffering from an extreme case of obsessive compulsive motorcycle deciding disorder.[emoji6]

                            Get well soon.

                            Jokes apart. For new bikes, you must wait to get the quality level stabilised unless you want to be a beta tester and help enrich xbhp members with your experiences in resolution of issues you faced!

                              It's just that I want to buy the best. So considering all the options in the budget.

                              Anyways, it seems, it will be Duke for me.

                                I believe you have misunderstood cruising speed. Cruising speed is a speed you can do all day long. For example. R15 can cruise comfortably at 100-105kmph all day long without stressing the engine or the rider. Even if the TB500 can do 120kmph all day (largely debatable), I am pretty sure the vibrations will tire out the rider soon.
                                @anarchy911

                                CBR has good brakes even without ABS. But I would still recommend ABS over non-ABS. Anyways if budget is a constraint go for non-ABS. That's okay. Duke comes with ABS so makes sense in terms of VFM. But please consider the fact that city rides will be tiresome on D390. Both due to engine heat and short gearing. Whatever your choice, just make sure you ride safe
