Re: Which used bike for track use?
I am regular with guys who ride extensively on BIC. And none of them agreed that NS is good for tracks. Rather they said, R15 is better option if someone wants to enjoy the "real track riding"Originally posted by coolharsh91 View PostFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Try searching old R15 v1, that might fall in your budget. Get everything in engine sorted and youbare good for track.Originally posted by giridhar View PostThanks for the clarification guys, NS is out as of now, would be great if someone answered my queries too! struggling with bike with sky high price.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Which used bike for track use?
R15 V1 is Great. It's just kinda hard to come-by a Used one (esp in Good Condish and Un-modified) in a Good Price. Here are some RTRs,I think I could help you out so dug deep in OLX ChennaiOriginally posted by prateek2210 View PostTry searching old R15 v1, that might fall in your budget. Apache RTR 180 (ABS) - Chennai - Motorcycles - Royapuram - RTR 180 ABS,Dec 2011,Old Model,48K Price
Apache RTR 180 white - Chennai - Motorcycles - RTR 180,2013,New Model,50k Price
Tvs apache RTR180 - Chennai - Motorcycles - RTR 180 ABS,2012,New Model,42K Price
I would say take the New Model - It looks gorgeous.
For the R15...I don't think it's worth the extra 30-50K over the RTR 180 ABS.Both R15 and RTR makes the same 17 Bhp Power.R15 is more smoother and RTR has lesser Maintainence (Cheaper Spares). If you want to spend that extra on R15,Why not mod and tune the RTR and get much more Power from her ? - I think Joel can help you do that.20 Bhp from the Modded Block is Possible.
OT - One does not simply suggest a Pulsar for Track Racing.[My Motorcycle]

Did u just say P220F as least reliable!Originally posted by TVSian View PostWhat Happened to your 2 Stroke Resto Plans,My Friend ?

Anyways,Look for R15(Overall the Best,Can't believe 'High Maintainence'),RTR 180 ABS(Safest,Awesome Exhaust Note and Performance,Suffers from Vibrations),Pulsar 220F (Fastest but least reliable)
I mean Are You Serious!

Re: Which used bike for track use?
You don't need ABS while on race track , specially if you want its full potential.and for a 180 cc bike ABS isn't that needed at least on race track.I would say gixxer but it would lack a bit if power considering 155cc.also r15 is a good option. But the Duke 200 is no slouch either!Originally posted by TVSian View PostApache RTR 180 ABS Be like -

You are right,If he gets a Failsar RS 200,Ya know what's gonna happen [emoji14]
ABS,is very important esp in Racing. Please watch from 2:51 on this Video

Re: Which used bike for track use?
You are right,ABS isn't needed for Very Experienced Track Racers but for startups (Like Me),It is very useful. The best of the ABS Version of RTR 180 - It has a Switch to turn it off !! Ofcourse I am serious,Pulsar 220F is a Good but Less reliable Bike but still makes more Power. For his Budget,Duke 200 is impossible to get - He is focussing under 70K.GiXXeR on track - Perfomance Too Low for Track Racing and One does not simply take a Commuter-focused 15 Bhp bikes to the Track.

My Suggestion -
Get the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS
You save nearly 30K compared to R15s selling price
Do some normal Maintenance Work like - Air/Oil Filter Change,Carburetor Cleanup and Re-tune,Engine Flush,Engine Timing Reset,Crucial Parts Check,New Fully Synthetic Oils,Gears and Clutch Checkup,Cable Checkup,Meter Checkup and Reconfig,Battery Recharge,Wires and Lights Checkup,Exhaust Cleaning,Chain and Sprockets Clean,Re-lube and Tightening,Plastic Parts Tighten,Tank Top-up (Use Premium Petrol) and Finally a Waterwash and Polish
Get new tyres - MRF Zapper VYDE
If you want,You can add some small performance mods like - K&N Air Filter,Carburetor Upjetting,FFE and a Re-tune.etc[My Motorcycle]

We have enough choices to the thread starter. let him decide now. Its his money, his choice. Even after so many replies he goes for a bike that is not perfect for track, then we cant do much about it. PeriodFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Please properly read the post before you comment.I never said 'Change' everything.I asked to 'Check' everything.I don't want to know why you don't like RTRs and on top of that,You defended the Pulsar's recent stuff.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostLol that would cost him a bomb.basically you want him to change everything except for bike headlights.anyways I have never liked the apaches so can't comment much.

Re: Which used bike for track use?
Chill guys, I just had few queries to make my decision, thanks to some good advise I have decided to stay away from 200NS. Its between R15 and Duke now, decision has been made, so will post after I get one(stretching my budget as much as I can). I don't wish to offend anyone here, so not quoting anything.Biker @ heart

Re: Which used bike for track use?
So its Duke vs R15.Are you sure you can find one under your budget ? My Vote goes for Duke 200.Why ? Moar Powaah ! But just beware of the Engine heating issues.I think it is solved AON.Originally posted by giridhar View PostChill guys, I just had few queries to make my decision, thanks to some good advise I have decided to stay away from 200NS. I know and That's alright.Yes,I am the same 'Kid'.I don't see driving license doing any part of the knowledge about Automobiles. The advantage is...You just get to ride them...Legally.I know to ride a Bike (Learnt on a Samurai) and as I respect the road rules,I still ride a Bicycle. Is there a problem ?Originally posted by xplod566 View PostTypos kid.hey aren't you that same kid whose age is 16 and doesn't have a driving licence!

Never at all.Ride safe kid.Although i would suggest you not to drive/ride one until you get a licence as you are disobeying street laws....Originally posted by TVSian View PostSo its Duke vs R15.Are you sure you can find one under your budget ?
