Alright, all things considered I am booking a ZMA on Monday. Have been told of waiting period of around 1 month by the dealer. But black colour is readily available.

Yes, views stated here on this forum are personal wonlee saar. Incase many shout the same coherent 'personal' view, it becomes a generalized one!Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostI guess its your personal opinion and not a generalised view beacuse I have a completely different view for same.
And I believe my personal opinion is shared by many here, thus we can safely conclude that its a general opinon!
ZMA has its advantages, which when looked at an overall touring bike make it #1!
But then IMHO (this is personal and not general
) its no fun touring on the ZMA, for me that is!

From my little experience:Originally posted by Aditya-biking pro View PostCan anyone tell about the smoothness of the engine of 220 and about its gearbox please?
P220 gear box is not as slick as the ZMA but is positive and no hassle. False neutrals do occur.
Engine is powerful and hot!!! run in well, maintain it well and feed it with Motul 300V FL 15W50 seems to be the mantra to make it work better. Smoothness, no. Only power delivery is smooth & linear.

The gearbox is a lot better than earlier pulsars, its a lot smoother. There are no false neutrals (I haven't had any for the last 14k kms).Originally posted by Aditya-biking pro View PostCan anyone tell about the smoothness of the engine of 220 and about its gearbox please?
Engine is again smoother if you compare it to older pulsars. Keep it well maintained... and it'll be pretty smooth, though not as good as the ZMA. Expect some vibrations post 6k rpm. Regular oil changes will benefit a lot in terms of smoothness.
But trust me... with all these things... if raw power and feel is what u carve... get the P220. If you want a extremely smooth, torquey engine... close your eyes and go for the ZMA.
But I somehow feel that you have fallen for the P220... and its pretty hard to get off it (happened with me... almost 1 month thinking P220 vs ZMA... finally had to give in to the raw power
and am not repenting
)

I dont think there is any concrete information on the ZMA upgrade. Same for the P220.... no idea when these machines will get proper performance upgrades.Chetan

ZMA is coming with abt. 25 bhp,some tech goodies,fi and 250 cc engine.It wouldn't have rear disc brake,self cancelling indicators,projector headlamps etc. etc. thats what i have heard.220 is coming with 21 bhp,maybe a new fairing,carbon-fibre exhaust,black engine and wheels and new decals.......220 may launch in march-april while zma in aug 09.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View Post

Ya but we shouldn't trust HH,they just keep saying and its almost a year and a half till we r listening of a ZMA fi.HH just wants to pull back the customers of other premium bikes and to make them wait.Thats what i think.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostCool.... if what you say is true.... future-ZMA is a better option.

25 bhp and no rear disk and projectors seems highly unlikelyOriginally posted by Aditya-biking pro View PostZMA is coming with abt. 25 bhp,some tech goodies,fi and 250 cc engine.It wouldn't have rear disc brake,self cancelling indicators,projector headlamps etc. etc.
