    Query Approved

Beggars can't be choosers. It is near impossible to decide which second hand bike to buy. You can only buy what is available. And only by checking what is the best deal available. What is the condition of the bike etc. Very difficult for us to advise without knowing what are your choices.

I would suggest, search the market and tell us exacts. Vintage of the bike, condition, photos etc. And then basis that, members will be in a better position to advise. Else you can find some xBhpians in Dehradun to assist you in finalising a bike.

Cheers and all the best in your search
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Bro, understand what he said first before firing your guns. "Beggars can't be choosers" has a different meaning from what you interpreted. Monk meant that unfortunately you cannot choose a second hand bike simply because you want a specific model. But instead you choose on the basis of what's available in your budget and the condition of the bike. No-one called you a beggar as this applies to everyone out to buy something with a budget since our choices get limited due to budget.

Apart from this, karizma should do better on highway travels

Yaa i think you are right brother. Its my mistake, that i had not mentioned my budget,i had but i mentioned that other suggestions are welcomed, you all are experts and have more experiences than me ,so you must be knowing that what should be a resale value of a bike.In my case its obviously 40,000 .
But still bro ,i am choosing a bike & monk said beggars cant be choosers ,so brother dont you think he shouldnt have used this,,else he would have asked for more clarification,or should nt have nt commented,or shouldnt have approved the query??

Btw thnks for your suggestion to get a karizma

Bad start for a newbie.. Taking panga with a mod who is very genuine..

Back to the topic.. Brother, buy something that would fit your budget..

For Eg.. If your budget is 1L, It is always suggested to get a bike at 80K and remaining money you can spend on getting the bike serviced, changing tires if required and other small things which is definitely needed if buying a used bike..

Apart from that, the remaining money can help you get decent gears which are essential..
              Splendor - 2k to 2006
              Karizma - 2k3 to 2009
              P180 - 2k6 to 2k9
Hunk - Oct 2k7 til now
              ZMR - 2010 to Forever
              RX135(2k) - 2013 to 2018
              Ninja 250R (2010) - 2016 til now
              RayZ - 2015 til now
              Ninja 650 (2014) - 2017 til now

                Re: Second hand bike

I would suggest you go for the Karizma r without any doubt. The bike will be a suitable upgrade from the 135 cc. It meets all your requirement. Better get a trusted mechanic and check couple of bikes. Check for all the fibre panels, the joints where it is bolted, an engine with lesser mileage, maintenance records if possible, preferably a single owner who has cared for the bike, no engine hassles as parts might be tricky being out of production now ( should not be an issue also).
And pay no more than 40k if its 2010 model and keep some money left to get it serviced and for some parts, Plus a good helmet and riding gear if possible so that safety is ensured. You can look at later models also like 2011-2013. When I bought mine Karizma lots of friends advised me to go for a Hero Honda one. For a hero Honda badge you might look at models of 2011. Coz after that Hero and Honda split. Not a bad bike but keep in mind that this bike is out of production now. So an hassle free bike is what you should be looking for.
Even the yamha fz is good but I don't think it would be a significant upgrade. Look for the Rtr180 abs or an Yamha r15 if you can extend your finances a little bit.

Seriously you wrote this??? Do you know Monk ? What is a mod? What is an idiom and an idiot (just saying :P)?
                  Jokes apart.

Whatever your budget, as mentioned, keeping some money for maintenance, I would suggest keep some more apart for riding gears.
