If you're going to buy this beast then go byeyes closed!

*I hope rear disc variant is costlier by 4-5k than the rear drum model.

*In my POV , RED and Black colors are good .

I can second what Aswinlogi said. Engine on the 160 4v is astonishingly smooth!

Yeah the discs and pads should be cleaned periodically to avoid this.

*Mostly all bikes are facing this issue.

We can buy the rear drum version though but even drum brake makes noise if it's accumulated with dirt.
BTW drum version gets only 2.5 " rim (rear) with Tyre size 110/70 .

A good cleaning of discs won't make squeaky noise.(During service )

For a height like that, you can go for Suzuki Intruder 150 or Bajaj V15

Bro being an 160 4v owner I can tell you that the engine is very smooth and yes the breaks did squeak in the initial period but it's rectified after the service. Regarding heat management it did heat up during run in period ( like most other bikes) but has significantly reduced now ( after 3k kms).

In my experience so far with 3000kms the vibration have only been reduced .

Soon I will buy my very first bike. It has to be 150-160cc segment.
My height is 6'3.
So it has to be a bike suitable for my height. I was thinking of buying Gixxer, until I saw many reviews, where they said its uncomfortable for tall riders.
So, please suggest me a motorcycle.

Thanks.
Hi,

I recently bought a naked gixxer and I am extremely happy with it.

I did quite a lot of research and my options were the Jap trio (for the bullet proof Japanese reliability) of Gixxer, Hornet and FZ-S. Well, not the FZ-S so much, primarily because it lacked ABS. ABS for me was absolute necessity. And guess what, gixxer offers ABS as standard. You cannot buy a gixxer without ABS.

The handling is spot on and so is the engine refinement. The gearbox has the usual gremlins but i am told it should go away with a couple of premium oil changes (I have only done 800 kms on it so far). The seating position is forward biased and the tank shrouds are beautiful to grip with the thigh. My height for reference is 6'1".

You should go for a test ride. You might form an opinion for yourself.

Keep us posted on what you have finally decided.

The brakes offer a lot of feedback and hence the brakes feel more powerful than they actually are. They are adequate till 60-80 kmph. After 100 kmph, the brakes feel like they don't have much stopping power.
