Re: New bike after owning P150
The heavier helmets are more solid in accidents, lighter ones are better for your neck comfort in the long run. Both properties together could cost a fortune. I got a 1200 gm one for myself.Originally posted by rahulrajan14 View PostYeah sure . My helmet weight is 1350 gm , I feel it’s lil heavy .... is it ok for long rides or should I buy a light helmet ?
Happy riding

Congratulations buddy,Originally posted by rahulrajan14 View Post
Completed 1003 kms in 30 days ... tomorrow gonna give it for the first service ! [emoji5]
Now ima scare u a bit here. I got a Yamaha FZ-s in 2008. Good bike, just so it happened on one of the services, I noticed that there was a kid being taught how to service a motorcycle and that kid was actually the peon there. The shock I had seeing him working on my bike lol. Wrote to Yamaha over an email and my dad got a call from dealership owner, " Oh ji aapke bete ne complaint kat di!"
After the funny meetings, I always got their head mechanic to work on my bike [emoji23]
Surprisingly, I visited them after almost a decade this January to check out FZ25 and one of the old employees still remembers my name.
Na they're not all same but keep an eye on your beautiful bike.
Happy riding buddy

Re: New bike after owning P150
Hello , my bike is 100 km more to reach 1500. Going to buy wheel roller from grand pit stop . Btw , which is the good brand for chain cleaner and chain lube .Originally posted by Neo77k View PostYea I said get those afterwards. My RS200 doesn't have a centre stand either. I got a rear paddock stand from grand pitstop for 2800. I've seen some people use locally welded ones too, cost less. You can also get an under tyre roller for that. Chain maintenance is easy. You use a chain cleaner/kerosene by spraying it on the rolling chain, let it sit for a few mins (be sure to cover the ground/home floor with something, it's gonna rain black lol), then use a brush to scrub the chain, there's special chain brushes available on Amazon and they serve the purpose but even a regular clothes washing brush will work well like those with wooden handles and nylon ish bristles. Then you wipe off the excess with a useless cloth which would turn black again lol. Finally you apply a chain lube on the rolling chain and you're done.
I started doing that since my NS200 in 2013 and never had any chain issues except the regular chain loosening. I did that chain Maintenance for an Avenger 220 street recently that I had with me for a few weeks before I got the Pulsar. The owner was very happy with the chain after I returned it, he mentioned that the chain had lost all unpleasant noise and he felt some improvement in throttle feedback. It'll do you good.
Happy riding!

Re: New bike after owning P150
For lubing, the best results I've personally had was with Motul, waxpol chain lube is doing the job too though. For cleaning, again Motul was the best but kerosene is doing the trick as well.Originally posted by rahulrajan14 View PostHello , my bike is 100 km more to reach 1500. Don't bother, you'll get your hands way too dirty. If you still feel the urge to, use an old clothOriginally posted by rahulrajan14 View PostRecently I cleaned the chain with chain cleaner and lubed the chain !!! However the chain brush which I bought from grand pit stop became black after cleaning the chain . How to clean to chain brush !!

Re: New bike after owning P150
For chain cleaner you can use anything from Kerosene or diesel to WD40 to those fancy ass sprays with microbots cleaning action, money is the deciding factor.Originally posted by rahulrajan14 View PostHello , my bike is 100 km more to reach 1500. For lube, you need something that forms a coating or layer over the chain so as to prevent it from rusting and keeps the mud and dust away. You can use 70W + transmission fluid, grease or spray cans..
Perform chain maintenance every week or fortnightly, and you'll be the happiest guy.
