Could u please tell me now...u guys have been fighting for so long, I lost track which bike u guys are supporting
anyway, to the topic..
which bike has more maintenance? ZMA or 220? I am talking about regular service.
whats with the ZMA's brake pads and disc pads and oil and whatever...are they so expensive?
Cuz, I am about to trade my 2007- P180 for a 2005 ZMA.
Do u suggest I go for it?? I am actually loving the ZMa.. Find it amazing compared to the "pee180"..Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

Overall ownership costs will work out to be more or less the same.Originally posted by Coplay@180 View Postanyway, to the topic..

The 220 has lesser life of parts, and hence require more frequent changes, but the parts cost is cheaper.
The ZMA has longer life for parts, and hence parts are changed less frequently, but parts are expensive.
Ride both bikes for about 30-40kms to get a feel of both. Decide on what your heart tells you to buy. Both are fantastic bikes in their own right!
Over here the ZMA Vs P220 will never reach a consensus!

What are arriving at with this same old discussion..
The thread poster isnt even bothered whats going on here..and probably enjoying the show with some popcorn..!!
Btw, he had made intentions very clear with regards to the below statement.
IMO such threads(read: P220 v/s. ZMA) should not be opened up here in xBhp, it always creates cold wars in the thread.Originally posted by LiBran View PostSo my final list was including only 2 machines which were ZMA-R and the P220.
Now the real deal is I personally don't like the pulsar styling. Though P220 is not common on road, but its low powerful siblings are damn common in my city, and in P220 except its front fairing, all its design is more or less same as its other siblings. So virtually i dislike pulsar for its look. Yes, i admit that 220 packs more horses then the ZMA-R and also has new technology. But for me power do not matter very much (the reason is that i am currently riding a 7bhp yamaha and any bike that i have considered have more than 250% of power than that of my current bike.).
So I decided to buy a ZMA-R.

+1...Originally posted by inder.cool View PostIMO such threads(read: P220 v/s. ZMA) should not be opened up here in xBhp, it always creates cold wars in the thread.
Both the bikes have their own fan following, So that should be up to themselves only...

The mirrors on the new bike has improved, I no longer needed to do the chicken dance on highway, could see clearly who was behind.
To the thread starter: If you want a smooth dull bike which puts you to sleep on highways go buy zma, if you want something exciting and something which keeps you awake on long ride go for the P220

sorry for repllying even though you said there is no need to.Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostExactly why I find statement like "Uni is a vibration free bike" hard to digest.
Anyways, no offense, but most Honda engines in India sacrifice power for smoothness. And when they decide to try and match its competitors on the power front, results are bike like Hunk, Stunner etc which do have same vibes across the rpm range, as its competitors if not more! Where goes the superior metallurgy etc etc in such cases?
Anyways, it it OT here. No need to reply to this post.
I dont have much idea about stunner, and not much experience with Hunk. But loads of experience and twice ownership of CBZ Xtreme makes me to tell that.....!!!!! errr...I hope you got what I want to say...!!!

Anyways...ZMA is old, outdated, slow, featureless. But what makes the owners of new ZMAs that are rolling out everyday think about it before they buy it. they still sell good AFAIK and there is no denying factor.
There are some reasons that might be beyond mine and our beloved members IMMENSE biking knowledge. No doubt that p220 is a VFM bike.
As inder said, thread starter is least botherd about this thread now.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

n How does a P220 keeps sumone awake on a highway n other bikes cant? it got a vibrator (under the seat) or sumthing!!!
P.S: Luv your bike n respect other bikes...

^^^ I guess the loud exhaust, the bench seat, bad RVM's and some amount of vibrations aid to the task.
There you go, another VFM point in terms of safety for a P220... it keeps you awake and hence it is safer.
Come on guys... you people become 2nd grade kids when it comes to comparing bikes. As spider has put it - "love your bike and respect other bikes".

IMO, what makes the Zma sell is the fact that till recently, P220 was way too costly compared to the Zma. The new P220 was launched only recently. In a few months we should know the results. Also, people have this herd mentality and affinity towards the HH badge which is justifiably due to gem bikes like CD100, Splendour etc.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!
