@ Thread starter - The 3 bikes what you have penned down are all in different leagues.
If you are used to ZMA, then its going to be hard for you to adapt to R15. Its a big time down on torque figures. Especially if you are caught up in a stop go traffic. unless you keep the rpm above 6, you have to down shift. If you are riding in an area where there is stop go traffic and if you have a sensitive inner thy, stay away from 15. I stopped using my 15 and running the pulsar. I feel the pulsar to be super comfortable in city, especially to flick and no down shifts required.

Also Parking in theaters, malls and conjusted areas is going to be a pain especially for the 15 and ninja.
No comments on ZMR cos i haven't ridden it yet and its not a power upgrade.
Ninja has more power than 15 and Zma in low revs, but the actual beast comes out only after 10k. I haven't ridden one, so can't comment. But definitely you will need a backup bike if you have ninja. You can't take it every where, that is, if you don't want your bike's fairings to be damaged. $~Gp-Posted via mobile ~$

Mad max-i suggest you select the bike based on factors such as daily running, purpose(commuting to office, safe parking space available at your office or home, cash payment options) etc etc.
Ninja 250-haven't ridden hence can't comment on the ride quality and performance.I'd suggest the 250 for a second bike.My view i wouldnt go for the loan option. If you have ready liquid cash and wont effect your savings much then go ahead.
R15-A perfect all rounder,be it city commuting or highway riding

If Ninja is out only because of the cost constraint ( Out of Budget ), which would you all suggest ZMR / 15 / or even the 220 ??

        • ZMR is new entrant slightly confused on the looks ( YET NOT SEEN PHYSICALLY ) ... technology no doubt
        • R15 is now well established, confused as it fails to give sporty look from rear ... technology no doubt
        • P220 good looks adv over the above 2 , technology degraded from FI to CARB, Bajaj is slightly poor on it's quality and life of the parts .
        • Or should i wait for some time, few others in this category may be launched ( Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki in 250 cc segment )

This is my assumption, you all can throw light on the above and remove atleast my confusion to arrive at one from this three ... please help

All that have to come have already come into the market now. No point waiting. No Yamaha & Suzuki in pipeline for at least an year from now. Honda, still doubtful (only because of the Twister parts import earlier this year but I think that could have been for the ZMR - FI & Oil Cooler) but I don't think there's any bike above 200cc on their cards for near future.

You have kept Ninja as you option! So why think about other bikes. I dont see no reason to even consider another bikes, I would have brought ninja already If i had budget and time to maintain it.

Welll... to be very frank your comparisions between ZMA, R15 & Ninja is totally wrong... ZMA is a old wisky in a new bottle as of today..it will surely give you the shots but not sure for how long...

r15 as good as it gets for the price you pay...fast, zippy but BAD BUTT..you know hat i meen... from front the byke is just too cool bit from the rear it is a add story...but you can always opt for the FZ FAZER....

Ninja should be a good byke...but one has to wait & see how it looks & feels...for certain it is a pricy byke as it is in the 2lac + range...

                Well best of luck..

Start saving money from today, you'll save enough(Rs. 45000 p.m*4 + 120000) to buy the Ninja!

I was waiting for ninja for past 2 years and finally when i lost my patience after numerous visit to bajaj showrooms.. i finally bought Pulsar 220dtsi in Aug 2009 .But now when NINJA was launched i am very much tempted towards it...I can BUY ninja now (now with installment ,Prior to my P220 i could have bought it in cash but not now). But as i have just bought my 220 i had dropped plans for ninja as of now .If i haven't bought my P220 i would have booked it on day one.I am glad that i bought P220 becoz without it i would have booked ninja but now i can wait a little .
So i suggest you to Buy
1.Pulsar220:Cheapest of the three , Good features and good in performance also diiferent from ur Karizma.
2.R15:I u hate P220 and don't want to buy Karizma.
                          3.Karizma: I u don't want change .

Finally if u don't hate P220 even if it is ok Bike for you ,I suggest you to go for it ,You won't regret.

I do have a backup bike and as I mentioned earlier i wouldnt be using the bike on a daily basis. Zmr is my last option out of the three mentioned as I am tired of riding and owning two karizmas. I need something which is much more powerful and zippier. Something that handles well in road racing . I tend to throw the bike a lot on corners and my way of riding is a bit agressive.

PS : If i do pickup a new r15, I would go for the racing kit which comes along with it. I heard that d kit (though supplied by yam) voids the warranty. Is it true ? A kitted r15 lashes out about 24 bhp ??? after speaking to few r15 owners, they were of the opinion that the kit even boosts the low end. Please shed some light.
