the performance kit for R15 does boost the low end but it still wouldn't be a match to the power the ninja would deliver!

From your posts i dont think p220 or ZMR or R15 will satisfy you ..

definitely you need something bigger to satisfy your quench

The best available option is Ninja no doubt it will satisfy you but take my humble advice go for ninja only if you have sufficient budget not only cost of the bike after buying bike also there will expenses services (there is no free service right? ) and maintenance plus the fuel costs think about it well . If you have enough budget for this no doubt close your eyes and go for Ninja . SO think about all the expenses you have to face not only cost of the bike , if you stretch your budget to the most possible maximum (for bikes cost) and take ninja you will face financial problems for its maintenance and running cost . If money is not a Big deal Ninja is the best deal for you .

If your budget not allows you for ninja the question is which bike to go for . Frankly it is a difficult question . The fact is that between R15 and ninja we dont have any bikes . Like Mid age crisis Mid budget crisis

It will be great if we have a bike in india around 1.8-2 lakh (on road) that is more powerful than R15 ( say 250 cc , 25 Bhp , 25 Nm torque , 160 Top speed , 25-30 FE ,Projector headlights , FI and all the normal stuff)) . I hope such a bike will come in near future (2012) when Bajaj or yamaha or Honda start to manufacture those locally . I am waiting for that momet for my next upgrade . I feel Bajaj will be the first to launch a bike of 250 cc at an affordable price .

RIght now i am not finding any bike to suggest for you .
May be R 15 with racing kit will be ok for you . I never tried/experience it so cannot comment on it . Any xbhpian who has experience in driving a R 15 with race kit will be able to help you .

If u really dont care about the cash, go for the Ninja. U will not get bored of it fast and the bike can not only handle city traffic but can be a very good companion for high speeds. It looks great, handles like a dream.. in short, it is worth it. My 2 cents
Thats the problem bunny bhai... Wat makes bajaj think that one who can buy a ninja250, will buy it just seeing on the shelf in flesh...

I i can't test ride a bike for which i have to pay 3L, how will i be satisfied for making a buying decision...

My pop says, have u ridden the bike, so how do u say you like it & u wanna buy it...? He is not wrong, i cant spend the hard saved money on just looking on to it n' buying it... can't i 1st test drive n' then decide to buy it...

Ninja 250Rs reputation preceeds its name. To know what the bike feels like just read reviews of ppl who have already bought it or test ridden it. The mega review on xBHP is the most elaborate one I have come accross.
Not getting a test ride should not be the reason to not buy the 250R as enough ppl have ridden it accross the world and they testify its prowess.

The Ninja is not overpriced ,it is just expensive - not the same thing. What you pay for is what you get.

Between the R15, ZMA and the 250R, the Ninja is a no-brainer if you have the cash.

First ppl said the Ninja in India is a ridiculous idea. Then someone comes accross and made one. Then ppl say it will never work. Then bajaj makes it work. Then everybody is asking everyone else why it wasnt done before.

The Ninja 250R is by no means overpriced. Its the same when ppl say R15 sucks cause the tires are way too thin. NO ! It doesnt suck cause the tires are thin. Infact the 15 doesnt suck at all. But try selling your point to the misinformed !

Similarly thinking that 3 lakhs is too steep a price for the 250 cc is the virtue of the misinformed.

What you pay is what you get in bikes and cars. No one can afford to be overpriced in the era of cut throat competition.

You have Rs. 1,20,000 now and you are going to buy the bike after about 4 months. That means you have to save Rs. 45,000 per month to reach the cost i.e Rs. 3,00,000. If you can manage this, then go for the Ninja.

No, its not money killing. You cannot even compare r15 and Ninja. Not taking anything away frm the zippy Yam but, the Ninja is a real sports bike. Not to mention parallel twin engine. It has everything. Its absolutely right what TenHut said, what you pay for is what you get. Even some misinformed friends of mine asked me why spend 1.1L on a 150cc bike? Now you tell me how can I make them understand, when they don't even want to listen to all the awesome technology Yamaha has used in the R15, apart from the fact that its faster than the 223cc ZMA? What you pay for is what you get.

Congratulations TenHut. We're still waiting for good pics (of the BIKE) :P

                          MY take -

Karizma ZMR - Karizma is an old horse now, though still super smooth. The mill remains the same and the new bike looks positively ugly !! The old karizma lukd much better.

R15 - I own one and can vouch for its excellent build quality. It is a rev-happy mill and a breeze 2 zip thru the traffic.

Ninja - An absolute looker especially in the lime-green kawa colour. comfortable seating position. But then my first impression was marred by not-upto-the mark build quality. (this is relative to that of the r15)

So finally it boils down to the price of the bikes. 3 lacs is a lot of money but then ur getting a world class product . And u cant put a price 2 exclusivity. The ninja costs almost 3 times as much the r15. So the question for me would be " IS THE NINJA THREE TIMES MORE DESIRABLE THAN THE R15 ? " . I would reserve my comments untill i throw it around corners ..

Bro , me n fellow members can only help you think in a correct way .
But only test ride can tell you whether the bike does have what you want from it for eg : the feel , the ride quality , the pace , etc .

Dont know if there is a test ride available for the ninja , but for the rest it is .

And according to me , as far as I felt . Both bikes ( R15 and ZMR ) are simply awesome .
Smooth and reliable . The only thing now matters is the riding pos comfort and the reason you want the bike for .

But some people have raised doubts on the cooling of ZMR and may be some other things also . So might just wanna take read some reviews or
take opinions before you spend your valuable money .

                              Best of luck .
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

Get busy living or get busy dying .
