All the posts earlier are clearly intimating you to go for 250R..
So rather you go and book one and dont be late
...( After booking also you have to wait for 2-3 months, depending upon the stock )..
As far as R15 is concerned, rather than going for racing Kit R15 ( full racing kit R15 will be arnd ~1.5-1.7 if i am not wrong) save this money and give it as a Downpayemnt for Ninja so that your EMI will be less if you take the rest money from bank...
Lastly, we members can only suggest you whatever we think will be the best suited for you ( and in this case it is obviously Ninja 250R)..Its you and only you, who have to decide, what your heart says, whats your like and how much money you can put up to...
Cheers !!!

As of now, I have deided to play the waiting game. My target is around the first week of March. Till then, I am just gonna save up as much as I can and then figure out. Even the Auto Expo will be done and dusted and will get a chance to see changes in the r15(if any) or any other 250 coming our way or not.
Thanks to all your inputs and suggestions.

Ninja 250R will logical upgrade….if money is not an issue…
Only downside of Ninja 250R will be costly spares…than other 2 bikes
All 3 bikes are fully faired so I guess all be same in slicing traffic...that is not so flick-able..
With ninja you get more customization possibilities…already developed in other parts of world…but again will cost more….
Plus you get exclusivity and with its performance could keep rider happy for longer period..
Anyway you plan to buy in feb2010 so Auto-expo in jan can generate other options possibly…Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle

Hi MadMax
If there is going to be no highway and you are not interested in posing, AND you want your money to be saved then its R15 all the way. Inside the city its really powerful and will do everything to make you smile.
No other comments. Goodluck!Fear is the Trigger!

To be honest, I can buy the Ninja. Buying it isnt the problem here. I have opted out of Ninja purely because of the price of spare parts not because of the price of the machine. I have had detailed talks with Ninja 250 owners and came to know about the prices of spares and it just blew me rightt off. At the beginning of the thread, i mentioned that I am quite rash and do throw it a bit here and there which makes me a frequent visitor to showrrom for new spares. And hence opted out of Ninja (a great machine, neatly priced but OVER PRICED SPARES- can afford to buy u but cant afford to feed you)Originally posted by amitredefined View PostMadMax - You said you make 16K/month. Sorry, but I think it will be expensive to maintain the Ninja for you(10K installment + fuel cost + servicing)? unless you have other soruce of income

Zmr was my least priority and it still is. Didnt gave it much thought after the initial excitement. But what did happen was, P220 came into my head since the disappointment at the Auto Expo. Went for couple of long rides (100+km) on both the 220F and 220Dtsi....and was impressed with quite a loads of things. So the battle turned out to be between R15 and 220.....to add further to the agony I had one of my friends R15 for a whole day and rode it for 80 odd km......nd was further confused. Here I was having ridden both 220 and R15 for close to 100 of kms and still cdnt make my mind up. Its been close to Six month since I parted way with my ZMA (been riding around mostly on a DIO) and now I have my answer.
Its the Yamie,d poor man's R1, its da Racing Blue 2010 R15. Decision has been made and thank you all for all the inputs and suggestions. MODS, Please go ahead and lock this thread.
Cheers

Perfect
Good choice buddy, i've never been a fan of the whole finance procedure
I'm sure you'll enjoy the high revvy nature of the R15 to the max
Also as someone pointed out earlier, the Ninja would be a burden for daily use. Zmr... doesn't even come close to the R15
