Have mentioned this before - long rides (~40 km) on my CBZ-X gives me back pain. Dosen't happen on my Shogun. So choose carefully. I don't think there is any issue with the pillion though.... except that its pretty tall, and short people have issues getting on it.

Right said buddy.I am moving away from hunk cause of the name. But saw it in flesh today looks wonderful.Any good reasons why hunk is the better one.If any will definitely think twice before buying.

BTW Extreme looks very skinny from the front but looks marvelous from the side view.Asked the HH showroom for the extreme.Told it will take 1-1.5 mnths for delivery.

The suzuki bike is ready for delivery on the same day.

I know, it has been discussed before - seems it happens to some people, and does not happen to some... for whatever reason. So a prospective buyer would need to go on a long ride to make sure... difficult.

Did a little bit of research on the Hunk yesterday.Seems a good bike. But lacks top end speed and has a clunky gearbox. Can anyone share some light on this aspects of hunk.

The GS150R has a better gear box but that shouldn't mean that the Hunk & CBZ-X (both share the same engine, gearbox & chassis) is bad. It is not clunky. It is very good and the GS only betters it.

Also, top speeds of all three bikes is almost about the same. You may find the GS to have a tiny edge here for being smoother than the other two and running relaxed in 6th gear.

Once the first 2 or 3 services are done you are not gonna visit the SC very frequently. If you like a bike well then let the 'distance to SC being a little farther than another' not decide your choice.

Right said buddy. But it is the availability of the spare parts which is a issue i think in case of the GS150 for me.Initially i was only thinking of the GS and was about to buy it only. But now due to following said above i m thinking of the CBZ and now hunk too.

not pushing the GS to you but what kind of spares problem have you come across/suspecting for the GS?

is it non-availability or is it because they might be available only in Suzuki motorcycle authorized SC's that are less in number??? (they are not very less in fact)

It is the availability of the spare parts only at the SC that has made me confused. Also i asked some mechanics in my area they said it is better to buy a HH than a suzuki.

They might have said it for the resale value, where HH bikes are No.1. Quality wise I rate Suzuki higher.

                            ^^^
The mechanics are right in their own view. HH spares are more accessible as they have more SC's and spares counters. And if you think having many HH SC's & spares counters helps getting HH bike spares instantly, think again. Try for spares of CBZ-X, Hunk, Karizma... very few people stock them and they are generally not available.

Also, the mechanics know those Honda engines for a few years now. Not many have seen the internals of the Zeus... let alone the new GS.

You know what my mechanic says??? - Suzuki Zeus engine is among the best. Better than the Honda Unicorn's in terms of smoothness & reliability even after running 60K KMs. Views vary. Bottom line is - they are reliable and smooth.

The Gas suspension helps a lot with potholed roads. For that, I would keep the Hunk & GS150R in the list. Both bikes have good pillion comfort but the GS seems to have a better seat (didn't try the pillion riding personally).

You are right. The mechanics must be telling about other HH bikes like CD 100 and Passion Plus pro.BTW Passion plus pro is the best seller in our city.

Also how is the initial pick up of GS.Is is sluggish like the unicorn or better then it to overtake a truck or bus easily.

Intial pick up is similar to unicorn.

                                GS +ves
                                1. Good bike for smooth riding experience.
                                2. Seat is comfortable for both rider & pillion. Pillion comfort is much better than unicorn as the seat is more wider.
                                3. Good ride comfort as the shock absorbers are good over pot holes
                                4. Brakes are good once u get the feel of using them.

                                GS -ves
                                1. Mileage issues. I have mileage from the day of purchase. I have never got the same mileage twice. Complaints & visits to SC has been of NO USE.
                                2. Gear shifts are clunky. There is so much noise when u shift gears (both up & down shift). same here ... Complaints & visits to SC has been of NO USE.
                                3. Poor Head lights. Little bit of focussing adjustments would make it better than factory setting but still head lights suck.
                                4. Much famous rusting issues.

The above mentioned positives & neagtives are things which i'm facing first hand being a GS owner. I feel that my bike has some inherent manufacturing defects. My observation is that 1 outta every 3 GS owners complain of mileage/rusting/gearbox issues which is like 30 bikes outta 100 are with defects. I'm sure this would not be the case with CBZ or Hunk. In this account CBZ/Hunk are better bikes than the GS. Some Ppl would claim otherwise but end of the day GS is an ok bike with niggles.

I bought my GS with lot of expectations which later turned out to be a big disappoinment. My present state, I regret buying it every time I crank the motor, this is very upsetting for bike lovers like us. U never know if your GS is good or bad unless u ride it around for 300kms or so. If you willing to take the risk go ahead and buy. I'll repeat "GS is not a great bike yet, but an OK bike with NIGGLES". I hope my experiences are of use to you.
