pulsar 180 is a really good deal but pillion comfort is not that great....I'd go with the CBZ-X any day...it is a much better all rounder bike than the GS IMOOriginally posted by sanjukoli12 View PostOne more option has come up in my mind.Pulsar 180 UG4.What do u people say.Since i m learning to ride the bike on it.
.Does it have a good suspension and is it good for pillion comfort. It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

This sales guy don't even know the mileage of the bikes they sell.Their is no recommendation of GS 150 from anyside. Is the rust issue still their in the latest lot.Got some good reviews of the Pulsar 180 too, leaving the pillion comfort aside.Originally posted by srini View Postmy 3 year old cbz-x gives 40-45 bro...new ones should give more if taken proper care of...
Now the choice is between GS vs P180 vs Hunk.
Confusion.

considering your transistion from a non-geared scooter,a 150cc makes more sense.I'll still stick to cbz/hunk...that said,P180 is a really good buy.Have a TD and check whether it suits you...upto you.It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Well, I recommend GS fully. The rust issue is well taken by the company and the parts are replaced in warranty. Rest, the mileage is always above 50, hovering around 55. Pillion comfort is great, so is the rider comfort. Huge tank gives good coverage as well as nice place to keep tankbags/kids (didn't try the second part yet). Masculine looks, and most importantly it feels the bike has a soul. I can connect to the bike emotionally, and not just as a tool to get from one point to another.
Hunk's plastic muscles fail to impress me, as the pheasibility of tankbag is in question. Similarly, CBZX's bindiya and goitre is hard to forget, atleast for me.
About P180, personally after using bajaj caliber 115 for 6 years (a fine machine btw) I was keen not to buy Bajaj bike. Now make your choice!

Sorry yaar, I now stay in Pune, not Thane
Gear shifting is good, the difficulty in shifting with heel shift is hardly for a day or two. I never use the toe shifter, as I care for my shoes! Using heel shifter even in traffic is not problematic at all.
One thing after riding GS is, many other bikes will look like toy to you! I was riding a friend's discover, and was thinking how come a motorcycle is so tiny
GS's size really grows on you, and makes its presence felt anywhere.
