Pillion comfort is great, so is the rider comfort. Huge tank gives good coverage as well as nice place to keep tankbags/kids (didn't try the second part yet). Masculine looks, and most importantly it feels the bike has a soul. I can connect to the bike emotionally, and not just as a tool to get from one point to another.

Hunk's plastic muscles fail to impress me, as the pheasibility of tankbag is in question. Similarly, CBZX's bindiya and goitre is hard to forget, atleast for me.

About P180, personally after using bajaj caliber 115 for 6 years (a fine machine btw) I was keen not to buy Bajaj bike. Now make your choice!
Ok, this was purely subjective, Any other reasons?

Any other reasons for what? Rejecting the bikes? I am not saying the bikes are bad for all, only stating why they didn't appeal to me, which is ought to be subjective. Do you expect me to compare the max torque and power to weight ratio as well?

My definition of a tourer was filled by GS. Some people's definition is filled by hunk, or CBZX, that's why all the bikes are getting sold, and not just one. Hunk's panther black color looks stunning, and I absolutely loved the looks initially. But the unability of putting tank bag put me off. And CBZX never came across as a beauty for me. But again, this is strictly subjective!

Hi buddys, went to the HH showroom for a test drive but did not get it.Then wne to the GS showroom and took the test drive. It was taken by my friend who drives a Pulsar 180.He told the bike is much smother than the Pulsar. But he did not like the heel placement of the Gears.

Then went to the Pulsar showroom and had a look at the 180.liked it but did not book it due to not so comfort for the pillion rider.

So came back to my place and booked a Gs.Will take the delivery on sat.

            Thanks everyone for the suggestion.

No buddy nothing as such.Only the Luv for GS was more than CBZ.

Btw their was also a waiting period of 1.5 mnths for the CBZ and Hunk.

                      Hi Guys ,

I drove my Pulsar for about 30k kms when I decided to sell it off for a smoother and comfortable ride with "Unicorn". Hardly did I use my Unicorn for two years when I sold it as well, just a few days back.. why ? well, I used to slip alot while negotiating turns ( at low speeds) and sometimes even the straghtline stability was wayward. All efforts to get it resolved with the dealer were futile. I met three accidents and third one made me bed-ridden for 2 weeks.

Anyway, that's a different story, I now need to decide whether it should be GS150R or something else. The desired parameters are :
                      1. Riding comfort ( mostly city driving, as I use my car for highways )
                      2. Low. rev pick up & power
                      3. Smooth engine
                      4. Looks don't matter ( the only reason why I chose Unicorn over RTR160 & others 2 yrs back)

@animeher me too in pune. Could we meet up to discuss the details ? where are you located ?

                        Hi rishi welcome to xbhp.

                        1. Riding comfort ( mostly city driving, as I use my car for highways )
Very good i can say from what i driven uptil now.

                        2. Low. rev pick up & power
Pickup in lower gears in not so good i think.CBZ rules here.

                        3. Smooth engine
                        Very smooth i can say.

                        4. Looks don't matter ( the only reason why I chose Unicorn over RTR160 & others 2 yrs back)
It looks good also.People are praises about the tank. They say it it huge.

                          Thanks,

                          1. Did you face the 3.5k vibrations issue ? Someone also told me that the bike's engine sounds bad after 7000-8000 kms.

                          2. How about the stability on the road while negotiating turns and braking.

                          3. It would be too early, but any rust issues ?

How about a Hunk or a CBZ, in fact I would have gone with the CBZ, but the only thing I dislike is the lack of a Heel shifter.

                          Cheers,

I did not find any vibration issues on 3.5k.BTW i have driven just 150km till now, since just brought the bike.

I have no issues using the toe shifter, but I do care for my shoes . Is there a way to change the gear lever with a toe & heel shifter.

Had a test drive with both the bikes, and found GS much better, just worried about the little niggles discussed on this forum and A.S.S. issues. Also spoke to the Manager at the Service Center of the dealer to get his views on the bike, but I was p***ed off with his behaviour and lack of confidence with the bike.

BTW, the dealer is still offering me the Diwali offer discount of Rs. 3k. The bike's onroad cost is Rs. 64k/- ( after discount).
