My 2 cents: Having ridden a RE for a while, your best bet so you don't feel like you're riding something too small is to choose between the ZMR & the ZMA. Their engines are torquey and don't need to be wound up.

Do ensure that you test ride all the bikes you have shortlisted before making your decision.
I have. If it is just the same as the FZ16 with the extra head, i wont like it. The FZ felt too underpowered.

I'm hoping to get a test ride of the ZMR in this week. And about the size, the ZMR looks big, so it wont be much of a change from the RE. And the ZMR also has killer looks (I liked it).

Except for the size, i find the R15 rather tempting. I am rather small, so it wont look very odd. Quite an amazing bike.

I'm finding it rather difficult to choose between the ZMR and R15. I guess i wont be able to make a proper decision without trying the ZMR.

Came across this link today: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/104...tml#post333289

If the price is going to be reduced, i think it'll be a killer deal. There are a lot of rumors floating around about the 'new' R15.

And the previous post to the one i provided link to coincides with what the showroom guy told me, about engine being manufactured in India. As long as the engine quality is as good as the current one, i dont care where it is manufactured.

I guess it is wise to wait. 1.5 months is not a big deal for a INR 1.1L bike anyway.

Sorry to dig up a long dead thread, but I wanted to bury it properly with the proper rites.
I finally saved up enough dough to buy an R15. I even strongly considered a CBR250r, but finally decided that the R15 is the best suited bike for my usage, the most VFM. So, after 1 year of thought, I did what I should have done in 2009: got a black R15. And I'm enjoying it thoroughly.
Thanks, guys for your support and guidance.

ZMR , CB Unicorn pros and cons

            Hi...,

I am planning to get my first bike..... I need suggestions from the Experts on CB Unicorn and the Karizma ZMR
I know ZMR and CB Unicorn fall under different category but just want to know the +ve and -ve of both so it will help me decide, Because when i decided to get a bike these are the two which strike my head hard.....

I feel ZMR is costly (want to know if it is worth) and Unicorn is not stylish apart from that i like both

            Thanks and Enjoy safe riding

Like you yourself said, these two bikes are worlds apart! I personally feel that the Karizma-R is better than the ZMR because it is lighter and is easier to flick the bike in traffic. Are these your only two options? If not, go for the R15.Its an absolute delight to ride it.

                    Hi ....
I tried my friends R15 but it looks small and the riding position is uncomfortable for me as I am 5'11" ...., Yes I agree the performance is good.....

                    Thanks and enjoy safe riding

k,if your indeed the tall type, then perhaps you should go give the ZMR or Karizma-R a shot!
