@Thread Starter - great choice congrats , you're going to love your choice the moment you show it some twisties
it means it is faster than zmr also, as botht the the bikes have negligible power difference?

Guys thankyou for all your wishes and yes I will surely enjoy the twisties.
I am not a ZMA basher neither a only Apache RTR praiser sort of guy.
The bikes which I tested were both brand new.
ZMA no way comes closer in pumping the adrenaline as compared to RTR180. ZMA is a powerful machine no doubt. It has good pickup but the power comes gradually in a decent manner, whereas RTR180 is raw, brute power. It comes like a sudden turbo boost. Its a wild horse. I am talking about the feel.
Now about top speed between RTR and ZMA. I feel in real world it doesnot makes sense about 2-3kms difference for me bcoz I feel riding at such high speed on Indian public roads is very dangerous.
Apache cant take the place of ZMA,neither ZMA can take place of Apache.
ZMA is a real tourer and ApacheRTR180 is a real scorcher. Both have there forte strong in different departments.ZMA has a big bike feel but at the same time when you sit on RTR you do get the feel that you are riding a Well built confidence inspiring bike.
Many people comment about the reliability of ZMA. No doubt its good but that doesnot mean that Apache's reliability is bad. I have met some owners of the first lot of Apache and they nearly no problems till now. ZMA owners when they get good experience from there ZMA for past several years feel that the reliability is good but that doesnot mean that Apache would break apart in coming years. I feel due respect should be given to each and every bike.If one has to talk about reliability then one has to talk statistics not subjective feel.

@ thread starter - i am 5'10 i have road both the rtr and karizma-r, the only thing i liked about zma is that it gives your spine good enough comfort and takes on potholes easily, while apache is a different bike, the only flaw is the stock srichakra tyre, replace it and then you see it it will toast the road.

The pillion comfort is not bad in apache as i have seen people running their apaches from pune to kolhapur with their wife as pillions comfortably

ZMA is the best touring machine in India...since it launched..although 220 giving it a fight right now.
Apace RTR was the best racing machine in India..well..except R15..

                        Zma...rtr180..hunk???

                        HI BHPians,
I am planning to buy a new bike, presently im using a ported yamaha rxz 5speed,which is not suitable for daily use to my work place is around 50km of my daily ride. But still im loving to drive my zee .Im 5'10" height nd weighed 98kgs. ZMR is good but i dont like the fairing with oil cooled system.my favorite Blue color is not available in ZMA,RTR & Hunk .No bother about fuel consumption coz already im riding 2 stroke but little concern about environment!Need satisfied bhp support in busy traffic roads.and i like to go long drives on my bike.Earlier,i drove 600kms of long drive from kakinada to hyderabad with my rxz! Awaiting for your valuable suggestion.Thank u!

ZMR seems to be a good option for you & don't worry about oil cooling in this bike as it might get hot when your bike will be new but after couple of services it'll behave normally & won't get heated up..but sadly HH discontinued blue in ZMR also which is your fav color..
apart from ZMR..ZMA-R & hunk suits your needs better then A180..they are more comfortable then A180 for long rides & for zip-zap kind of city riding, you already has a nice 2-stroke bike

Have been using the apache 180 since a year now and its simply amazing,
It loves to be revved and is definitely good for commuting,
The tyres of apache are way too sloppy on wet roads...
but still its a bike to go for
                              Apache 180

since you already enjoyed Rxz .... don't go for Hunk...I think ZMR will be better considering your high daily usage .... its very comfortable..
