Theres also a DSG retailer near forum mall named Orion motors. I may check that as well sometime next week as my training would get over by wednesday next week.
@thegeneboy : Not possible on weekdays as my office is in whitefield, so it would be quite a distance.Last edited by gurveer; 07-28-2010, 09:12 PM.

There are two kinds of light--the glow that illumines, and the glare that obscures.

Training, so u work in which company? MY office is near electronics city, And about DSG, I checked it out like 100 times, its a stones throw away from my house, the shopkeeper over there will be pretty frustrated with me coming and simply checking out stuffs without buying them... All cool stuffs, but since I din check out Cramster, i cant tell if its cheaper there in orion or not... I need gloves now, and if I get some Jacket for less than 5k, i will buy it, but my priority is Gloves.Originally posted by gurveer View PostI stay in BTM near gangotri circle...and i alsi refer to google maps for going anywhere in bangalore and evn my boss is pretty frustrated with my internet usage.

Guys, as much as possible, lets please stick to discussing on the topic of riding on Aug 15th.
Riding gear stuff can be discussed in the relevant thread.
Please dont take offense.
Edit - I'm might not be able to make it to this event. Put me in the tentative list. I'll confirm once my plans are more concrete.Last edited by n_aditya; 07-29-2010, 10:54 AM.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Still we need inputs from Sunil and other senior head in Bangalore. Also would like to see leaders from Banglaore (our moderators) shows up a bit and take lead to make this event successful.
I hope the plan will be disclosed by first week of Aug.

Let make a plan and stick to it.
I see there are basically two groups, one who wants to ride and keep it concentrated on the Independence theme and stay close to city and show the spirit. And another there is another who wants to take the same to outside as well.
As I see the first point is more important and for once for a change keep it a city meet and ride. Keep inside the city and ride to a place where we could witness our flag being hoisted and sing the national anthem. If after that there are people who want to ride longer, we could have that group ride on to meet other group (from Chennai).
This seems like a more suitable approach considering the day. The idea is on paper (err screen).. who agree give me the 'ayes' and suggest a place in city where we could assemble and witness the flag hoisting.

Suggest that we start from Shell Petrol bunk near UB city & go around the city (at least 10Kms on non metro work areas), attend a flag hoisting, have breakfast inside city, leave to Bhoga Nandi temple at the base of Nandhi hills, take line up shots enroute, conclude the ride at an NGO, meet the kids Make a donation & call it a day.
Would also like to invite other forum bikers to join-in too .
As usual ALL BIKES WILL NEED TO HOIST A FLAG & I will arrange flags for all bikes.
Cheers
Sunil
te patisoum.
This sounds cool to me in that case. Meeting Chennai gang after finishing our city ride may not be possible for many of them. So I feel its better to chuck the Horsley hill plan.

Bro you spoke my heart. I saw the thread, there were plans of city ride, and suddenly many said it was not a good idea, traffic being a big problem. No offence to any... But I feel city ride will be better and even more enjoyable on that particular day, especially riding with our flag, etc... I agree, YES to city ride. Hereby confirming my ride.
