xBhp Bangalore - 2010 Independence day Ride

    I'm tentatively in for this ride.
    This will definitely be a special ride, would be my second with xBhp after the 'Tri-State Yercaud Ride'.

    I would say 'yes' to printing of tees.

    Given a choice, I would want to stay within the city limit and display the spirit of I-day.

    My suggestion on the route: We could probably plan the use of entire 'ORR' for this ride, and cover most parts of Bangalore (yes, I do agree that due to construction of underpasses and other infrastructure projects, the roads have been dug up)

        As I see the first point is more important and for once for a change keep it a city meet and ride. Keep inside the city and ride to a place where we could witness our flag being hoisted and sing the national anthem. If after that there are people who want to ride longer, we could have that group ride on to meet other group (from Chennai).

        This seems like a more suitable approach considering the day. The idea is on paper (err screen).. who agree give me the 'ayes' and suggest a place in city where we could assemble and witness the flag hoisting.
        If we are celebrating the ocassion, a city ride would be befitting.
        I think we should start from the Gandhi Statue on M.G Road.

            City ride sounds good. Having a big group of bikers will make the traffic give way for us However we don't want hamper the smooth flow of traffic and YES to tees!

                  Lets officialy declare the Venue where we are gathering on I-day.
                  From the meeting place which route in city we are covering
                  Where we are having breakfast

                  After breakfast we can take instant call to continue the ride somewhere.

                      Only a week to go and nothing confirmed yet.

                      What is the plan? I will be returning from Chennai on 15th Aug and hope to meet you guys enroute if you guys are heading towards Krishnagiri or so.

                        lets keep it simple

                        how about a helmet awareness ride?
                        lets meet up in the city, ride around in the city in the official t-shirt. and contribute our bit to aware the citizen of the use of helmets. not only that, our road users also need a revision of traffic rules.. lets take the small step and see what comes ahead!

                        and yes i am in for this I-Day ride as well


                        EDIT: some guys who want/prefer a highway ride can do the above in MYSORE

                          a helmet awareness ride in I-day it is never a bad idea..
                          we can meet at somewhere near MG.Road and ride around city
                          So we can do it with another clubs not only xBhp ( ex : Royal Enfied or SBKs or BHP or Classic scooter Club or ...... ) with some support from traffic police .
                          and then we can make a xBhp ride to somewhere on High-way same last time..

                          M in for this ride !!

                            Hold ur horses guys. By Monday we should come up with final plan. If we are getting tee printed then I will make sure by friday evening tees are ready
