A great initiative and must be a good learning experience for all...Although being so near to the G2G place, I wasn;t able to come as I had to service my bike which was pending since a long time , so I had my DIY session with Reddy
...
My 200 is too smooth now (clutch plates being changes after 40K). feel like im riding a new bike again...Last edited by rohitmundra; 02-07-2011, 12:28 AM.its all about CC...

You bet man .... If we had done that, breakfast wahi pe ho jata !Originally posted by MotionFreak View Postthanks rony for all the arrangements. Amphitheatre was good too. ( woh shaadiwalon ko 10-10 rupaye sealed envelope mein dalke dete to khana bhi mil jaata
)
Yea where is that Attendance Sheet ?? ... I know MG does not have it! .... Who took it home ??BTW who has my attendance sheet (
) plz post.

Point duly noted and will soon be acted upon !Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostOne feedbacK:
Lets stick to a place where we have access to water, Breakfast & tea man!
That is what Reddy suggested us when me and rakesh visited him ... But practically speaking, how many are willing to spend cash ? ... And dabhas these days are too expensive ... we need some affordable place where we have open space to conduct the session and canteen nearby for refreshment !Originally posted by Horror View PostNext time we'll do it beside some dhabba or something like that.
Dada jar apla ashirwaad asla tar surely we will make it large the next timeOriginally posted by darkknight View Postme a tapori--lol
ashish & rony: +100 for the efforts man --said so while leaving too.
never thought that such a huge crowd will turn up.
reinforces that people definitely need the knowledge to be passed on.
good to see new faces behind the IDs & meet the really really old fellas
next session:make it large
!
No probs ... try to join us next time !Originally posted by rockrider View PostDarn!!! I hate to have missed out on this G2G. Friday night when I was returning from office my bike was stalling. Thankfuly it was close to home and I had to push it a few hunderd meters. All thanks to muddy water in the fuel tank bought from a petrol pump in Marol.

2. Actually as GS had said, the demonstration should be visible to all which unfortunately we could not manage this time .... We need better venue where we can have a raised platform on which the demo could be given and simultaneously recorded on video for which we even need a good camera and more importantly a talented recorder !
3. We should thank him for demonstrating that technique despite his reservation for the same.
No problem dude .... there is always next time !Originally posted by muRali.dexTeR View PostMissed a fantastic G2G.. my shift got over at 0800 am, thought ill be late.. will attend the next one positively.
Soon -> As discussed earlier we can have it bi-monthly or quarterly depending on the votes !Originally posted by alankarmisra View Post^^ What-ever-he-said-is-exactly-what-i-wanted-to-say! Big big thanks to all involved. Please have part II soon and count me in!
+1 to that ! ... Ashish had hands on experience on all the topics which helped him to deliver the session flawlessly ... But yeah expecting him to be the teacher every time does not make sense ... we need other senior and experienced members to come forward and share their bit too (Yes Satyen, I am hinting at you) .... also we can have multiple speakers taking podium and demonstrating their topic .... all of this depends on the interest we guys show for the next event !Originally posted by pavanchirmade View PostSame here...Kudos to Ashish and the gang for organizing and successfully pulling it all off.

LoL ... good to know that ! .... Reddy was too busy today hence he didnt show up .... but next time we will ask him to attend the session and share his knowledge on selected topics !Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostA great initiative and must be a good learning experience for all...Although being so near to the G2G place, I wasn;t able to come as I had to service my bike which was pending since a long time , so I had my DIY session with Reddy

And yeah, I forgot to mention about Raman Mishra ... Kudos to him for allowing Ashish to do some of the DIY on his steed ... one doesnt get to see such brave ppl often .... Also thanks to ninad for providing helping hand to ashish and sharing his knowledge wherever applicable ... I suggest ninad can cover few topics in the next session ... what say?
Special thanks to MG, DK, Satyen and other xBhp seniors for being present and supporting the event ... Looking forward for your active participation in future sessions too !
Lastly, sharing some of the pics which rakesh took from my camera

Rony - Good for you guys, atleast you were able to make it. I'm very glad that you guys were able to do it rather than leaving it as a dead thread. If possible, can you or someone summarize...
- How & on what basis did you choose a location?
- What were the backup plan incase you weren't able to put back things?
- Did you have a mechanic's assistance or supervision when you carried out the DIY session?
- Last but not the least, what'r you suggestions for us
?

The place was superb. Let's keep all the DIY session and other similar events in that amphitheater area
.
Next session onwards keep the topic limited to 3-4 topics only and once its demonstrated by the professor let others also try their hands on it. Getting your hands dirty is the best way to learn

A huge thanks to Rony for taking 'initiative' & Motionfreak, the Guru for taking efforts in making each minute & big points explain us in the detailed manner. First DIY & a Huge success, What more do we need as a Start.!!
MotionFreak took all possible efforts in making each one understand. He was the best we could think of for the purpose. It was so professional. I was impressed looking at the document created by motionfreak covering the aspects which will be covered that day. Then the attendance sheet.. Just Superb.! One word.. You rock buddy...
Some really important inputs where added by other members too,.!!
Ampitheatre was superb & even the other place was excellent.
It was awesome meeting so many fellows from the city. Old & Lot of new.. Feels good when you see more bikers getting attached each day. Nice meeting you guyz..
The funniest thing I could remember was, Gopi staying in Aarey colony didnt knew about the place & motionfreak had to send him the cordinates through sms from my phone. i felt am sending some confidential data to NASA
Felt really delighted to see Winzee riding on his scale model..

Complete worth getting up early & making up for this g2g.. Would love to be a part of many more such meets.... Thanks..

First of all a big thanks to rony & motionfreak for organizing such kind of DIY g2g for the first time i think for mumbai xBhpians. Really appreciated their efforts & some imputs from other seniors too. Also thanks to other xBhpians to make it sucessful one. College ka tapori, winzee's jokus, little chappal fight between kaali pamela & nunnu was some of funny movements to remember & last but not least a special thanks to one of my good friend rachit kohli to take me as a pillion on his bike.
Is really looking forward for another DIY g2g.

will surely plan the next session at my colony....and before that lets plan a ride soon !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
