      • Bengaluru ride

        Guys,
As I posted before, am planning on a b'lore ride. Anyone interested? Am thinking of going between dec 5 to 7, and returning between dec 10 -12. Dates are flexible, as long as they are in Dec 2nd week. Pillions are also welcome, as long as you have good protection against the wind like jacket and helmet .
If nobody can make it, I might go solo if folks at home are not dead against it.

        -lijo

@ Binoy - I like the Pulse... with all the armour, its quite heavy, and not so comfortable to walk around wearing it, but on the bike, tucked in, its great... I think it takes a lil time getting used to the weight, and the presence of the armour... you keep feeling like its not in the right place... ... but if you check by feel, they are... The Auto Queen guy gave the Pulse to me for 5k... I bought stuff worth 15k from him...

There are CE armour on elbow and shoulder... a half inch thick foam pad on the back, and nothing for the chest.... Its got a thermal liner, which can be removed. All the armour can also be removed. Check my picasweb album for pics. And I read that it can we washed too... So I'd say its great value for money...

@Nio, Arun - post you impressions too... so that Binoy can have an unbiased view of the jacket.

            BTW... b'lore ride anyone?

Ya I second Lijo after trying it out.. Its a VFM deal if you are looking for a nice motorcycle jacket. All the necessary protection at necessary places and a snug fit (given you find the correct size suited for you) The cordura material gives a tough surface feel to the jacket and the moment you wear it you get the feeling of safety that embraces you The armours are good and if you have seen the last gen elbow guard pic offered by cramster, its the same used inside this too(just short of the velcro straps provided on independent units).. Also got a detachable thermal liner (which I think is only useful if you are intending to do ooty or the ultimate LEH ride )

Ya it might get some time getting used to and this is due to the weight and restrictive movement caused by the stiff armours on shoulder. But safety demands it. I felt like a Tortoise in a shell after wearing it
The foam padding on the back cannot be claimed as a superior armour but I think it serves the purpose well by balancing safety and comfort of the jacket. Being a textile jacket its wearable under any harsh condition and washable also.
Finally myself, Arun and Balaji also are planning to order each soon.

@lijo: Banglore ride naah not in such a short notice

                              • @Swas - Palaruvi is arnd 10-15km from Thenmala, 90km from TVM city. So from cochin, taking the Punalur - Thenmala route, skipping tvm, it should be arnd 250 km... Look it up in Google maps...
