Done..where can we meet? at shanghumugham-> usual point,ie, at the entrance to the temple or at manaveeyam road?

I got 1999 Hero Honda CBZ and 2003 Yamaha RX135..........

Hope the list will be come close to 20 nos....that is enough for a colourful ride.

Feb 12th Friday: sivarathri day and I think govt holiday. and kindly come to a decision that ths campaign should be on 12 th or 13th? some guys got confused abt the exact date. so everybody please do suggest.

there will be close to 25 riders and this should be a good no: to start with .
About the Tees, i contacted MG and he said the guy dealing with shirts is quite busy and he can get 15-20 shirts without any probs, but can deliver only by 10-12th february. We can talk more about this in tomorrow's meet.

We can use Diesel for cleaning purpose rite?
Is OKS available there and what's the cost?

U can get almost all sorts of oil at Margin free Lube Shop, killipalam-aryasala road.
I think diesel should not be used to clean chain. Usually we use it to flush the engine oil sump , the service centre guys use it to clean the disc pads ,too which is strictly not recomended ,even wipe the whole vehicle with diesel for that shine

Defnitely cleaning the chain not the bike... but yamaha SVC guys as Varun said do wipe on the engine parts for shining... i don't restrict coz FZ's engine has powder coating which won't easily tear/make worse...

Thank's Varun... i was going to to buy the Motul clean and lube but spending 900 Rs/- is not worth enough, coz for a brand new chain and sprocket set costs 1300-1400 Rs... which will easily run for atleast 10K without any maintenance... that's y...
SAE will cost only 100Rs... i read in xbhp that its quite good and will do its job pretty well...

@Binoy... dont buy the Motul Chain Clean, it finishes so fast... I could use it only 3 times... )

Thats what I was wondering.... Never apply Kerosene /diesel on painted surfaces.... But they r damn effective on chromed surfaces and is a good anti-rust agent!

I use kerosine a lot!

Bro you can use Diesel or kerosine for cleaning the O ring chain. with a tooth brush you can clean the dirt and tar contents on the chain. Then wipe it with a cotton. Put the bike in centre stand and start the engine, to spin the rear wheel for 5 minitues.Ths will ensure the last drop of diesel or kerosine to evaporate easily. After that apply the SAE-90/140 or OKS during the rear wheel spin.(EXTRA CARE FOR YOUR FINGERS WHILE CLEANING OR APPLYING THE LUBES ON THE CHAIN IN ROLLING MOTION) Diesel applying on paint parts is not advisable....but sadly our idiot mechanics doing the same It will effect to accumulate dirt easily again and harm the paint shine gradually. OKS costing around Rs250(local brand) but not avilable in tvm I have experienced a long life chain in my P220 with these simple tips...it lasts for 25000 km Lube the chain only after clean it otherwise there will be adverse effect.... RIDE SAFE
