                    • @sree, I am fine now I was suffering back pain few months back. Hope you are in for this ride and will get green signal from your best half

@Lijo: Nice to know your bike is ready by now...how did joseph charged for service this time. My bike's service postponed by PBK service on 4th of Jan 2011. They are doing this everytime saying, service full even I was booked...Unorganised Bajaj service centres I cant give my bike to local mechanics due to Fuel injection system.

By the way, Lijo why can't we start the Munnar ride before afternoon, I mean early morning by 4 am or 5 am on 7th jan 2011? It will be a calm, cool atmosphere for a group ride? Just asking your suggestion

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

                        • guys i have been facing some service issues at hilton yamaha. so i personally got in touch with the yamaha engineer and the new hilton yamaha manager to get my probs resolved. now i am in really good terms with them. it all started when i send a mail citing the service issues to yamaha head office. they forwarded the mail to the kochi area office.who forwarded it to hilton manager(a new man who had worked as an auditor for several international firms in europe and middle east) who is very strict. now the hilton service center guys sort of fear me. now they are giving me top class service. he he . i can get anything done at hilton.
this is the mail i have sent to the company head office:

This letter is compiled to bring to the notice of Yamaha India authorities the pathetic service offered by HILTON YAMAHA service center at TRIVANDRUM in Kerala.
A few months back I found that the handle bar of my R15 jerks up and down while in motion (as if the bike is moving over bumpy roads when it actually is not). I took my bike to the Hilton service center several times but they have never been able to correct it. Every time they gave some lame excuses. Fed up with the whole mess I decided to move on. I had been riding with the problem for the past few months. Last week I found that the front fork seal is leaking oil. I took the bike to hilton and luckily they were able to fix the problem. But to my surprise I found that my bike had run 30 kms while it was at the service center. I asked the head mechanic Mr. SYDNEY about this and he gave some lame excuses like digital speedometer can some times automatically give wrong readings and stuff. This is ridiculous. Few of my friends had previously told me that they also had similar problems. It is pretty obvious that while my bike was at the service center some one there had taken it for a 30 km ride. To top it all , now the problem of the handle jerk has increased dramatically and I hate the thought of riding my bike. I spent my hard earned 1lakh 7 thousand rupees to buy this bike and the company has not even been able to rectify a minor problem with the fork. I never expected this sort of attitute from the service center of an international brand. Even the best product in the world is only as good as its service. Please do some thing about this. I ll never again buy a yamaha bike nor will I recommend it to any of my friends or relatives if this is the service that is offered.

now i have an appointment with the chief engineer this january. he will be calling me when he reaches trivandrumto test ride my bike and solve the fork issue.

the reason why i posted this is because i have seen several guys out here suffering negligence and poor service from their service centers. wake up guys. you did not spend your hard earned money to buy all the shit these service center guys are trying to sell you.
one more thing. the head mechanic at hilton has given me rs 60 as compensation for the 30 kms my bike had run while at the service center. initially, before i complained to yamaha head office, he was selling crap like "it is an odometer reading error".

wake up customers(lijo, jayamohan, placebo ....). wake up.

                              • @Akil, He hehe....You are lucky at this time I am tired of serving emails regarding complaints 100 times. But even now they couldn't able to fix a small rattling sound from the fairing side. Now a new theory is bound to all Bajaj customers that the satisfaction implies how you manage to hide the mental irritations.Their service really sucks
