Those coming for the Munnar G2G:

I've a suggestion to make, to avoid the back breaking stretch of MC road from Chengannur to Muvattupuzha (~90kms). The route I'm proposing is Chengannur - Ranni - Pala - Thodupuzha - Muvattupuzha, of which Ranni to Muvattupuzha is the ME highway (Main Eastern highway, SH8). This will be longer by ~40kms, more twists and turns, roads better than those along Kottayam, lesser traffic and atleast 1hr additional riding...

don't you think all of us need to meet for the 1 G2G of 2011 this Sunday plus give us a chance to see your bike...

A g2g is needed this weekend especially for the guys who are going for the ride . lets make it on sunday then...

If there is night ride after 8pm during munnar g2g, I am little worried..... I would be like to avoid night ride.....

me too. i m not at all comfortable with night riding , especially with these dark visors of mine plus specs...it ll be hell !!!

lijo, already you told that it ll take around 7-8 hours to reach there. if we were to start at 12 pm, then if this route is taken, it ll further extend the time to some 9 pm right? wont it be so tedious ?

Yes, thats why I said its just a suggestion. I dont want A.J to be bed ridden after riding through the "ROADS" around Thiruvalla, Kottayam . Its open to discussion. If we are taking this route, we'll need to start earlier. Also, if we need to reach there before nightfall itself, we'll need to start early, by 11AM atleast.
The choice is between two hours of bad roads, vs 1 extra hour.

@A.j - if you are so keen on riding in the morning, how about we ride off to Cochin in the morning? I can also get my K&N restored to proper condition. (Joseph said he cleaned it, so obviously I need to get it checked :P ) And later in the day we can start along with the Cochin team and join our guys....

Why not? I am agreeable to any plan But what about other participants from Trivandrum? Just bring them along with us....Before that you please calculate total km and make some minor changes of total expenses like petrol and food... so that THE POOR GUYS( as per Varun) can attend the ride with fully loaded

Glad to see that your all ready and set for the G@G , i wont make it cause ride is not here yet . But i do need a favour can someone tell me if the R15 is available trivandrum showroom . I'm ready with on spot cash payment ... I know you're all busy with the upcoming ride but please find out about the same if you can ,.. all the best for the ride ...
