really sad news that lutz crashed...nothing serious happened to him as he was wearing all the safety gears..but the bike has some serious damages...The bike is currently in nagpur police station...he will be transporting the bike to delhi first and from there to germany...Hope the damages are repairable...

Go with nationalized banks. They will definitely offer a lower rate of interest and the final amount you pay back will be a few thousand rupees less than with Bajaj Finance. The only problem is that you might have to do a bit of running around to get the paperwork done. If you want no hassles and dont have the time and / or patience to follow up, then go with Bajaj Finance.

Wrt which bike I think you will be the best person to decide Look at what you want from the bike and how long you will be using it. These 2 questions will give you your answer.

Hmm .. I would go for 180 or 220 if you ask. Lemme check. I'm booking only after 10th. Can put 40k for downpayment. Rest i should check with the banks. Ive already got two loans from SBT, so i doubt they'd gimme one more . And as you said,the running around is a bit hefty. Thankz for the info bro.

Thats very sad. Saw his blog. The pics tell that the left side of the bike has suffered some serious damage and some parts are on the road as you see. Hope he gets it Fixed soon.

Sad to know about Lutz!
poor guy was always very careful and still this happened to him in India! Hope he won't suffer more in the form of Bureaucracy by official's following this incident.

Won't the Lutz guy get any insurance? Either his own or 3rd party from the LCV owner? This shouldn't cause him to abandon his trip midway.

@lutz, if the auto has insurance u can claim insurance from that i suppose..not sure...but u might need to repair the bike here..
