Guys,small bad news.Noor has said that he cannot approve the photography contest thread has there is a lot of risk involved in it since it has to do money.So he told us to continue the discussion on it in the tvm thread itself!

So the first topic is our wagamon ride and the next one is diwali!

Some Important Questions:

Then like AJ said,should we confine it to just tvm?
Should we put separate entry fees for student members and Working members?
Should we allow some basic post processing(adjust contrast,brightness,saturation,crop)?

i ve been following this all these days and now this has made it interesting enough to post a quick reply.
Till now i thought of just being the model in front of all those DSLR's but seeing noels offer, i am seriously thinking of getting into the arena...lets take this to our fb thread as this could create a stir here in the forum...As milan said, i think slight picassa edit to crop n saturation control should be permitted for puny cam owners like us!!

Can somebody repeat the entry fee for the contest please?
I do not understand why there is a concern of the entry fee. It is not for our personal need or contest promotion. The entry fee is for giving it to Charity when we have a good amount in hand to donate.

@ Milan: Can you check if we waive off the entry fee, then will we get permission to start the thread for the contest.

Because we know that for a month only from TVm we are expecting more than 100 pics minimum. We should be able to manage it else the venture to find the hidden talents will be a utter flop.

So basically if we have our roots fixed we will open it to whole kerala & rest of india if someone is showing interst in it.

Guys, in my opinion as the new thread was not approved by the mods why can't we move to FB as Lijo chettan quoted. We can have a new group there or in the xBhp Kerala Group itself and we can open an Album named "Photography Contest Tvm-MONTH 2011" ... seperate album for each month and regarding the selection, we can also consider the likes and the judging panel tooo
