    xBhp Interstate Meet - Hampi : Planning/Discussion

    Hello Folks,

    Its that time of the year again where we put our heads together and come up with yet another Mega Interstate Meet.

    The past few interstate meets have concentrated on KA/TN/KL predominantly, its now time to move a little up north and meet our biking brothers from other states as well. For this I propose we meetup @ Hampi.

    The plan is simple we all ride down on Day 1, spend some time in the ruined relics of the Vijaynagara Empire on Day 2 and ride back to our respective cities on Day 3.

    Since Hampi is closest to Bangalore and Hyderabad we will be concentrating on those cities primarily. But folks from other parts of the country are welcome to join.

    Routes:

    Bangalore ~ 350 Kms
    Hyderabad ~ 450 Kms (There is a shorter route via Raichur, but roads might not be fast enough!)

    Stay Options:
    TBD

    Dates:
    TBD - Polls open for another 15 Days

    Rider Requirements:
    Will be posted in a few days!

        I'm in for this, but unfortunately I don't have any leave balance at office, so I can spare only Saturday&Sunday.

        Suggestion 1: Let us have another option for those who want to ride back on Day 2.

        Suggestion 2: What about camping/bonfires? It will be quite cold at that time&an enjoyable experience-I have never slept in a tent before!

        Waiting for others to flood the thread now!

          Thats a great place Praful, we missed to see it in our way back from Kudremukh in our previous ride and Hampi is in my mind from that time.

          Hope no one votes for 3/4/5.

          The route you were mentioning from Raichur is rideable.
          All the wise men of the world are called wise only after they spoke their mind, so dont keep the ideas to yourselves!

            ^^ I would recommend not riding back on Day 2. Because Day 1 will be spent riding, and evening mostly everyone will be tired and not spend time with anyone. And again Day 2 riding back. It will be just a ride-ride-ride then ... not a meet

            Tents I doubt will be feasible considering that we might have a really large turnout! Bonfire should be feasible, depends on where we stay finally though!

            Rideable agreed, infact I've seen a bit of the roads and they are awesome. But being a single lane route it will be slow road of people in a large group to cover.

            When in a large group its always best to the fastest route possible

              @sarvajit: same is the case and i dont have a problem riding back in the night on day 2... as the roads are mostly 4 lane divided highway...

              I also have one more doubt i want to bring my to be better half for the ride. is it allowed and is there anyone else who wants to do the same?

                  just close your browser, relogin to xbhp and go directly to the link of the g2g from offline g2g thread and not from hyderabad thread.

                      If I'm IN I might join Sarvajit & Kinshuk on day 2 for back home if leaves are not feasible...
