Rishikesh Trip
Hi Riders
After reader reading all the discussion about last G2G I thought that we must forget every thing & remember only one thing that safety is always important if you are driving at 10 KM/hr or 80KM/hr.
Keeping above statement in mind lets plan a trip to Rishikesh on 11th september 2010, we can plan to start the trip early morning around 6 O' clock & by the speed of 70-80 Km/hr we can reach their by 10 O' clock, then go for river rafting then much more we can do
People who wanna join please reply back ASAP

Regards
Pawan Rathore

@all: Let's cut this discussion here and continue with the G2G agenda. Probably, a couple of weeks down the line, when the monsoons finally abate, we all can ride to the hills on one weekend.

@pawanthegreat: 4hrs - Delhi to Rishikesh. Do you intend to fly
Anyway, if you are planning to go - Make a 5 am start at the bare minimum to beat the muradnagar/modinagar jam. If you take minimum breaks (1 food-avoid the overrated cheetal- its a time killer + 1fuel/bio/tea break) you should be able to do it in 6.5 hours without risking life and limb :-) Be wary of crazed car drivers who, on this particular stretch, think that bikes have no business being there. Be particularly alert for indicabs and innovas - they are the worst. Also the freak cow running across the road (trust me- it happens
)
While coming back- take the canal road from khatauli - only if its day time.
Though, if riding to the hills is what you want to do - there are much better options with lesser traffic(Lansdowne (6 - 7 hrs)and Nainital(5.5-6.5 depending on weather&jam at garmukteshwar- the bazpur kaladhungi route)Last edited by Mik; 08-26-2010, 10:57 AM.

Yeah, lets discuss about the ride on Sunday.. but I think we should make it short (less than 100km) because rain is really unpredictable..Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

Rishabh hills don't come in 100kms.NH-58 is not meant for new rider on highway so avoid its better to go khirsu almost near Lansdowne,perfect roads for new highway riders or Mukteshwar but monsoons is on roads are bit slippery above so no leans...Originally posted by HotAntivirus View PostYeah, lets discuss about the ride on Sunday.. but I think we should make it short (less than 100km) because rain is really unpredictable..
