      • @ ALL :

People i just got an idea.... Though its upto you guys to accept it or not.... I know a mechanic here personally.. so people who would like a mechanic to be at the tracks with us... let me know.... but we will have to shell out from our pockets if he has to come for this event......
He has been racing for the last two years in Group C and Group D - 125cc category.... has some experience in tuning too.... But the sole purpose of this mech will be just to do small things like, removing side stands main stands plastic parts...
so if you guys like this idea let me know....

I WILL TALK TO HIM ONLY AFTER I GET A GO AHEAD FROM YOU GUYS

          • @Wonder: Uhh just hit a snag........my bike's rear tyre suddenly seems to be leaking air, it is not going flat but just decreases to 15-16psi after a few hours, earlier it used to do that in a few days, if i'm lucky enough to get new tyre sets i'll come to the track, else i.........dunno depending upon how the situation is on the 21st i'll either bring in the bike and sit ducks at the pits or tag along with someone, i may also bring my friend on his bike

@Insid.: Sorry man, i think it would be better if you have some sort of a back-up in case i'm not able to come on my own bike
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

              • ^^ A small 101 200's run on tubeless tyres

About the mech. I really dont think it would be necessary to bring one, after all there are no pro's riding on the track apart from Joel, well that's my 2 cents

                  I missed that......
hmmmm..... so much to the mech idea...... lets see what others have to say.....
things like removal of crash gaurds and stuff....... handling a crashed bike.... I thought we might require one....... will make things a lot more easier........

i dun feel experienced people will crash at the track...... i was concerned only about the new comers.....until they get caught in a weird situation...... while a new comer doesn't need an excuse to crash..... anyways, it would optimistic to say that there would not be a crash... but not getting prepared might be bad........ upto you guys.......

                  • That is a way to put it, but i was thinking since we had Joel coming he can oversee to it that the amateurs like us don't overcook a corner and exceed our paces, and keep the thing controlled. And if we are able to control the pace i don't think why anybody would crash.................or maybe i'm being too optimistic

fair enough.... but i dun want the experts to have a good time on the track too... i dun want them to baby sit us and never have time for their own.... i personelly feel the term 'controlled aggression' is very difficult even for experienced people to put in practice....
upto you guys, i dun have any problem either ways....... and dun think it will cost a lot for us....
                      since we are atleast 20+

Well, I agree on this count about the mech. I really don't think that'll be necessary. As for the veterans riding on the track, well yeah. They don't need to be baby-sitting all the time. Infact, on that thought, they need to be riding in their natural style so that we can learn from them. A little pushes here and there to correct our mistakes would be cool.

We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

                        • Just curious, how many of us (among the tentative list) are new to this track?

I have done like only 3 stints on this track (courtesy the R15 event). I am somewhat comfortable with track (except for C2).

Talking about C2 , some one rightly said there's more to racing that holding the throtle wide open.. Its the corners that seperate a poser from the real racer.

And guys, lets bring some positive vibes, lets talk less about crashes .

                          A humble request .

Well we'll let the Pro's do a.......probably "five-lap-full-blown-balls-to-the-wall" demo and then teach us learners, also i think Joel will lap us twice by the time we finish one lap, if he's let to ride the way he usually does

Aye aye! I second that. Let them do a few laps in full shift, and then they can maybe start correcting us.

@wonderboy: Perhaps I'm talking too much already. I told you that I have a dentist appointment (bullied into) on the 22nd morning. That would be only a consultation, so it should be over by around 9. I can head down to track after that. Any idea how long you guys will be there on the track?

As for the 21st, well, we were supposed to have a College day fest on that day. But I'm not really sure what the changes are since we've had these 2 weeks of holidays now. I'll confirm to you.

Are you doing track days on both days? Or only one of the days?
