Porur Junction should be fine.Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View Post@Insidious & ananth: I'll wait at the Porur Jn. on 22nd at 7:00am, anyone who don't know the route to the track can tag along with me from here, And tell me if 7am is comfortable enough
My bike's silencer's gone for a toss again. The exhaust pipe's welding has given way and now there's a gaping hole there. Bajaj have asked me to get my bike there tomorrow morning to get it set right. No warranty. Only welding again.
If it gets set right by tomorrow evening, I'm coming. Else, ELD, can you gimme a lift, by any chance? Anyone else?
@all: If I'm not making it on my bike, and I do manage to get a lift, then I can spare my jacket and gloves to anyone who needs them.-------------------
Swiggy Mayhem!
We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

I don't care if I have to CAMP on the way, or hitchhike myself there, I'll do it. If I can't bring my bike, I'll get myself to Porur somehow!Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View Post^^ What? Again!! i suggest you forget PBK and let the Exhaust run its course of action for a few more days before taking to those guys again, and yeah i'll take you shotgun to the track, but how will you get till Porur?-------------------

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE TRACK DAY / RIDER BRIEFING
These are a set of instructions that should be followed during the event to avoid unnecessary confusions at the venue. These are NOT rules being imposed on anyone. These are instructions given to beginners for their safety.
- Everyone should be wearing a riding jacket with elbow and shoulder protectors. A minimum of denim jackets with elbow sliders worn on them.
- Gloves are mandatory for any rider planning to ride on the tracks.
- Shoes which cover the ankle must be used. Snickers are not entertained.
- Use of a knee and shin slider or a knee guard is recommended.
- The visor of the helmet should always be closed when riding on the track.
- Everyone should go around the tracks only in the clockwise direction (Even in the pits) to avoid confusion and any mishaps.
- If a person is willing to come into the pits, he should sit up raise one of his hands after exiting the final corner. This is to indicate the rider behind of your intentions.
- When a rider enters the race track from the pits, he is to look behind (at the entry of c1) and then enter the track after everyone is gone.
- Hooliganism will not be entertained at any point of time. Remember we are not going there to race, but to know about track riding.
- If you have any experts on your tail (e.g.: Killer, Joel) try to give way and learn their lines by observing them.
- Overtaking is to be done in proper racing style to avoid any accidents, i.e. an overtaking maneuver is to be carried out strictly on the racing line to avoid collision. This clearly explains that one can overtake if the rider in front fails to apex a corner.
- Borrowing bikes is allowed only on mutual agreement. Under a condition” YOU BREAK IT, YOU FIX IT”.
- Photographers can walk around the track with proper footwear. (keep a look out for snakes. I remember having eye contact with one for three consecutive laps at the chicane before the bridge.)
- If a rider finds an oil leak anywhere, try to keep a distance from those patches and avoid sudden braking or acceleration when on them. (Mostly you fill find saw dust already spread on it, so it won’t be difficult to spot them).
- Once the red flag is out at the start line, everyone is to make an orderly entry into the pits.
I hope i have mentioned everything. If i have missed out anything please let me know guys. I would be more than happy to append. People can also debate on rules which you think should be modified.Last edited by wonderboy_tm; 02-21-2009, 03:26 PM.- WonderBoy
