My first proper track outing, also an embarrasing and expensive one to
, Firstly i've to thank Madhu for graciously lending me his FZ16 even after the..............you knw what, thank you and also for Praveen's gear for the invaluble help it did for me at the track. I still can't get over the shock, and quite frankly am celebrating at the way things turned out, anyway i worked it out in my head i could'nt come up with a better outcome than this, and am deeply thankful to my angels for that. Guys, i hope there's no hard feelings and would like to sincerely apologise for the incident yeserday, i wish this had'nt happened but it did and am sorry for that, like Praful later told me "Shit happens". Well i've learnt that riding on the track is not an easy thing to do, you need to know your limits and need to realise that it takes time (a lot of time!!) to be able to get to a proper time and you must work at it patiently and steadily. And following a veteran at the track (even if it is only for one corner) is truly a sight to behold. I was lucky enough to be able to watch Kushant's ZMA in action (though i did'nt notice see who was riding it
) and it was absolutely beautiful, the rider, the bike were complimenting each other and flow of them both on the track were as though they were dancing ballet! Makes a guy want to cry at such a sight. I had a great time yesterday and thrughly enjoyed every single second i was there, be it on the track, or in the pits. I had a blast 200 per cent!!
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

No one got hurt even if the falls were nasty, thanks to the riding gears. but they sure burnt a hole in their pocket. (no offense guys, just next time dont forget your leather wallet, else the damage reaches your skinOriginally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostGuys, i hope there's no hard feelings and would like to sincerely apologise for the incident yeserday, i wish this had'nt happened but it did and am sorry for that, like Praful later told me "Shit happens".

It was my first visit to chennai track and i truly enjoyed (first time for the yellow track suit too). Long fast corners is what i always love.. I started to match pace with praful on my second lap and no sooner the pulsars were thrown off my view
. My bike handling was bad the suspensions were too soft and bouncy apart from the that the tires were sticky and power was unlimited.. couldnt hit the revlimiter in fifth gear but managed 140s+ on the straights. Some riders used to side off when they saw me on their tail and others took the hard way either they were out braken in the corners or smoked in the straights.
@wonderboy - thanks for organising this event.Dont wanna miss that look on your face when i blow past you.

I wanted to ask the same thing, and also, Killer, for first timers on the track, is 2:30 a realistic lap time? They would have zero practical knowledge about the lines, body shifting and other racing techniques. I know you do it easily under 2 mins, but for people who are just starting out...what would be a good lap time so that they can refer to it.Originally posted by Killer View Post^ Kushanth - just curious, did u get a laptime?DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

absolutely, that would be a very good laptime for a first timer. I dont go below 2min on the indian bikes man, best on a stock r15 is 2:15Originally posted by pranay View PostI wanted to ask the same thing, and also, Killer, for first timers on the track, is 2:30 a realistic lap time? Maybe if it was an uphill track at an angle of 30 degrees then the Bull would post more than competitive laptimes I think...
Great, thanx man. I guess its not necessary to get timed to learn from the tracks, but just for curiosity sake, people would time themselves.Originally posted by Killer View Postabsolutely, that would be a very good laptime for a first timer. Just FYI, my friend who was one of the best of the bullet racers when there was a bullet race class a couples of years ago, used to clock 2:25's on a stock thunderbirdOriginally posted by pranay View Post
