@wonderbody - can we have 2 sessions on sunday 22nd? Coz normally the car guys will come by.
Joel... met loganathan (caretakerossi) yesterday...... he tells the track will be free only on 22nd,... and that too only for one session.... the JK Road racing champ starting on the 14th, the cars will be there no doubt.... The track might not be free on 21st.... as there might be a scheduled event.....
dude, if we have to do a two session track day, it has to be on a week day..... i will let you know the situation about Saturday soon.... we will have to split it up into two days - one session on each day.... that is if the track is free on the 21st.......

and dude... I would be more than happy if you guide the people coming from Bangy regarding boarding, lodging and travel

@scarecrow :Buddy, get in touch with Joel.... or gimme a ring, my mobile number is available in the post below...

@praveen_Sathaye :Bro... what do you ride ???

@gurumurthy :The probability of anyone crashing on the track is much lesser than on public roads.... do you need anymore explanation ??? Post your confirmation along with the dates if you are game....

@praful : Are planning to to ride down on sunday and then ride on the track ??? Bro, why dont you ride down on saturday and have a good nights sleep and then come, just concerned about safety......

@all : I have also included the locations from where people are coming.... i haven't mentioned the same with few names because i honestly don't know... post in if there are any corrections .........

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE TRACK DAY / RIDER BRIEFING

These are a set of instructions that should be followed during the event to avoid unnecessary confusions at the venue. These are NOT rules being imposed on anyone. These are instructions given to beginners for their safety.
        1. Everyone should be wearing a riding jacket with elbow and shoulder protectors. A minimum of denim jackets with elbow sliders worn on them.
        2. Gloves are mandatory for any rider planning to ride on the tracks.
        3. Shoes which cover the ankle must be used. Snickers are not entertained.
        4. Use of a knee and shin slider or a knee guard is recommended.
        5. The visor of the helmet should always be closed when riding on the track.
        6. Everyone should go around the tracks only in the clockwise direction (Even in the pits) to avoid confusion and any mishaps.
        7. If a person is willing to come into the pits, he should sit up raise one of his hands after exiting the final corner. This is to indicate the rider behind of your intentions.
        8. When a rider enters the race track from the pits, he is to look behind (at the entry of c1) and then enter the track after everyone is gone.
        9. Hooliganism will not be entertained at any point of time. Remember we are not going there to race, but to know about track riding.
        10. If you have any experts on your tail (e.g.: Killer, Joel) try to give way and learn their lines by observing them.
        11. Overtaking is to be done in proper racing style to avoid any accidents, i.e. an overtaking maneuver is to be carried out strictly on the racing line to avoid collision. This clearly explains that one can overtake if the rider in front fails to apex a corner.
        12. Borrowing bikes is allowed only on mutual agreement. Under a condition” YOU BREAK IT, YOU FIX IT”.
        13. Photographers can walk around the track with proper footwear. (keep a look out for snakes. I remember having eye contact with one for three consecutive laps at the chicane before the bridge.)
        14. If a rider finds an oil leak anywhere, try to keep a distance from those patches and avoid sudden braking or acceleration when on them. (Mostly you fill find saw dust already spread on it, so it won’t be difficult to spot them).
        15. Once the red flag is out at the start line, everyone is to make an orderly entry into the pits.

I hope i have mentioned everything. If i have missed out anything please let me know guys. I would be more than happy to append. People can also debate on rules which you think should be modified.

                    • @wonderboy - I guessed as much that the track wont be free post lunch. Thats the normal scene everytime. The car guys will come down for practise and only if you are really lucky can u make it for an evening session on a sunday.

having been around the track for a while now, I have a few details for lodging around the track. Those who are coming from other cities can stay in a hotel closer to the track to make life easier.
All the hotels are located in the sriperembudur area.
A few options that you can check are,
                      1. Paramount Inn - On the highway. Just 1.5km from the track
                      2. Coromandel - 3.5Kms from the track, however a bit pricey.
                      3. Deepam Inn - 1.5kms from the track inside the sriperembudur town.
There are a few other options around if you look around. There are the places where I have stayed so far. Killer could also add a few details.

                      Hope this helps.

Me too having the same plan : leave early morning on Sunday, ride to my heart's contrent and return on the same day.
Might re-consider as t-days are considered taxing and don't wanna push my limits.

Bro... there are decent hotels near the track..... a days sleep will do just good for the track day......
my intent is to make sure you have the max out of the day........
