SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE TRACK DAY / RIDER BRIEFING

These are a set of instructions that should be followed during the event to avoid unnecessary confusions at the venue. These are NOT rules being imposed on anyone. These are instructions given to beginners for their safety.
      1. Everyone should be wearing a riding jacket with elbow and shoulder protectors. A minimum of denim jackets with elbow sliders worn on them.
      2. Gloves are mandatory for any rider planning to ride on the tracks.
      3. Shoes which cover the ankle must be used. Snickers are not entertained.
      4. Use of a knee and shin slider or a knee guard is recommended.
      5. The visor of the helmet should always be closed when riding on the track.
      6. Everyone should go around the tracks only in the clockwise direction (Even in the pits) to avoid confusion and any mishaps.
      7. If a person is willing to come into the pits, he should sit up raise one of his hands after exiting the final corner. This is to indicate the rider behind of your intentions.
      8. When a rider enters the race track from the pits, he is to look behind (at the entry of c1) and then enter the track after everyone is gone.
      9. Hooliganism will not be entertained at any point of time. Remember we are not going there to race, but to know about track riding.
      10. If you have any experts on your tail (e.g.: Killer, Joel) try to give way and learn their lines by observing them.
      11. Overtaking is to be done in proper racing style to avoid any accidents, i.e. an overtaking maneuver is to be carried out strictly on the racing line to avoid collision. This clearly explains that one can overtake if the rider in front fails to apex a corner.
      12. Borrowing bikes is allowed only on mutual agreement. Under a condition” YOU BREAK IT, YOU FIX IT”.
      13. Photographers can walk around the track with proper footwear. (keep a look out for snakes. I remember having eye contact with one for three consecutive laps at the chicane before the bridge.)
      14. If a rider finds an oil leak anywhere, try to keep a distance from those patches and avoid sudden braking or acceleration when on them. (Mostly you fill find saw dust already spread on it, so it won’t be difficult to spot them).
      15. Once the red flag is out at the start line, everyone is to make an orderly entry into the pits.

I hope i have mentioned everything. If i have missed out anything please let me know guys. I would be more than happy to append. People can also debate on rules which you think should be modified.

          2. LMAO - heh heh heh! Isnt this point very obvious Varun V Kumar!

On a serious note, waitin to see the best timings on various bikes. Do arrange for lots and lots of drinking water for the participants : the body sweats a lot when doing track days (been there, done that)

Amen to that. Black P200. But then, it comes down to the last moment. I need to be able to get my bike out. And folks at my house have gotten to know that I'll be visiting the track sometime soon, so they're vigilant. If I can't get my ride out, I'll have to tag along with ELD, most probably.

@wonderboy: Are we still doing both track days? Both 21st AND 22nd? Or just one of the two?

            Swiggy Mayhem!
We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!
