Re: All India emergency rescue system (AIERS)

    Thanks guys!

I have started the list... names will be added as they come up...

Is there a way to share a file with only the members??

I mean, the link to the file may be hidden unless the person is logged in?

doubt- how do you plan to execute it? does the person need internet at the time of need? or any automatic sms reply?

without this system about 2 years ago i had an accident in trivandrum and our @a.jayamohan helped me tilll end. I contacted him by phone. Thank you Sir.

so with this system many can be helped.

          Thank you!!

          About your doubt:

I will be creating the list of people with their xBhp id followed by location and contact number...
Riders can then store numbers of some people falling in their route including location in the name field...
for example, if a person is going to Rajasthan via Cahndigarh, he/ she can save contacts like:

          Name: valkyrieX7 Chandigarh
          Number: 9855551767

          Name: nadz11.ns Jaipur
          Number: 8107444389

          and so on......

so, when, god forbid, any emergency conditions arrive near Chandigarh, he can call valkyrie, in case it's in Rajasthan, he can call nadz!!

          You need not be online....

make the updated list in page 1 of the thread always. that will be better.

Add Bangalore North and NH7 cause people going via Hyderabad have to ride past my locality.. So its easier.
              Nice initiative!!

Sure, but right now I am thinking of a secure way to share the numbers....

Do you know a way to share the file for which xBhp login is required?

Ok. This is a very good initiative by all of you, especially by Aditya.

This is what we can do. We can make an entire section of the Forum visible to Signed in Members only. Like say the Offline G2G section. Which in any case is relevant only to members and not for outsiders.

Would like some feedback on that, so lemme know, will act accordingly.

                        Cheers

This is a good idea.. The offline threads are mostly visited by members only, so it would be nice to do as such.. And then if you could, keep this thread always at the top.. So the guys planning any tour could easily see this..
Lets see what other members think and do the same..

Yes, indeed, this is a good idea.
This particular information should be very to find but inaccessible to non-members...
I have seen in some forums that a person shares a file but to download the file the user must be logged in...
A thread can be made, access to which is only for the members, others can probably see the Subject line of the thread to give them an idea...and maybe the thread lies somewhere on the top for others to find it very easily..

                            Your idea is quite workable..!!

Lets see what others have to say!!!!

Looks like the thread went cold...

                              Is this all?
                              No more volunteers for this?

+1 to this idea Monk, it would help a lot in many ways. Right from having group privacy to being a reason for new members to sign up and join the local community

With respect to this thread I would say, why not have it open to all visitors/members after all it is an emergency database and we shall offer our help to whoever possible, atleast that's what I feel/think
