Ride to Kas Lake, Satara

Maharashtra's Valley of flowers

At about approximately 23 kms from Satara city, one can visit the very beautiful and scenic Kaas Plateau. The Plateau is splendid and awesome places to visit where one can enjoy oneself in rains amidst the mystical clouds that feather touch you.

Kaas Plateau and Lake will be full in blossom after the rainy season. Varied varieties of flowers with all different colors are in full bloom. This is the indeed the best time for the enthusiastic photographers to grab their cameras and head start out to Kaas. One can capture different flowers here which are indeed incredible to watch, as such this is aptly titled as "Valley of Flowers" .

Mandatory Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate; especially if touring along with the group to pollution sensitive/monitored areas.

Mandatory Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.

You bet.. I am! Cant afford to miss this one - Just I am not gonna get my bike near the water at Kaas lake.

Friendly Advise: And you better not wear Woodlands on this ride or else you will have to face natural consequences which is, really speaking, hazardous!

i observed only tenhut wears non bionic knee guards inside the pants. Rest all including me wears it outside so i am wondering in case of any fall which can help you more. wearing non bionic knee guards outside the pants or inside the pants.

Most wearing it outside their pants do so for they are wearing jeans. To be able to wear it on the inside you have to be wearing cargos or baggies or anti fits etc.

Wearing it on the inside will protect more.Wearing it on the outside will protect less and also make a mockery of ur tank paint job. Like Vipin Rathore did :P

My mistake sir. And yes as you told i can observe scratches on my side fairings because of the knee guards and i will try to be more protective next time.

@vkavadia - 220 is not a fully faired bike as compared to R15 or ninja so you wont get them.

Ride to Dapoli and beyond.

I and one of my friend are planning for ride tomorrow morning to dapoli. So any one who wishes to join can call me on 9921161166.

Riding gears and all vehicle related documents compulsory for the rider and if he brings any pillion.

This is not a one day ride as we may go ahead also if time permits and will be back on sunday so carry all things you will need.
